Post by Madge Baker on May 20, 2020 18:39:34 GMT
It was late at night when a familiar female voice spoke to the "contestants" sitting at the table. It was the same dining room, same setting, but ten new people with some... familiar faces. Cameos one could say, haha! Madge could not resist the urge and not to throw her newlyweds into this one and see their reactions!
The game was about to begin. Madge was almost squealing with excitement as she saw the first contestants start to wake up. A little healthy danger was just what her little birds needed to get closer to each other. This would work out perfectly! It was simply a game of Fate... and Fate never makes mistakes!
In the middle of the room was a large table, with ten face-down cards, a note explaining the rules, colored pieces of knitted bracelets (yellow, red, green, blue and white) for the contestants to tie around their right wrists as well as ten glasses filled with red wine, an opened bottle of the same wine for those who want to go for another round, some cheese, fresh fruit and crackers. Oh and, of course, candlelight!
Everybody was tied up to their chairs with handcuffs by the ankles, but their hands were surprisingly free! They could even try to stand up if they wanted to reach certain items at the table, but there was no way to get out of the bolted to the floor table and chairs.
"Attention, everybody!" the voice said, waking up the sleepyheads from their slumber, "Please, read and follow the rules of the game and nobody will get hurt..." it took a short pause before adding at last, "May the odds be in your favor."
And the room fell silent.
The note, that someone should probably read that out loud to everyone, said:
RULES: 1. Your character shall draw one of the cards that are laid on the table. (The value of the card will be informed to you on a private message on the forum before the game).
2. Your character must not show or tell their card value to another character. This rule also applies to the players! You are not allowed to share your card with each other, if you do so - your character might get eliminated from the game.
3. The characters can pick a card right away and take a look at it, BUT you can't pick a partner in your first post. You will have a "null" round to talk to each other.. like usually people who are going on dates do, haha! The deadline for the "null" round will be announced in the first post of the event.
4. Then when the "null" round is over - the character then must grab a color-coded bracelet from the table and either find a pair or leave it to luck to pair up with someone.
5. Once everyone is paired up, Fate shall reveal the values of the cards.
6. Round "Null" will last till May 22nd about the same time as today. So you have two days to decide who you would like your partner to be. Pairing up will start ONLY after Fate's "signal"/post on Friday evening.
7. The order the characters sit at the table is the same as the participants' list. So since they sit in a circle - Carmen sits next to Silvio and Cece, Cece sits between Carmen and Dean and so on.
PARTICIPANTS: - Carmen - Cece - Dean - Geoff - Gregory - Hannah - Huxley - Isabelle - Lydia - Silvio
PAIRS: - none - round null isn't over yet!
DATE: - May 20th

Little tip, woman to woman - don't piss off the diabolical ones.

Post by CeCe Pierce on May 20, 2020 19:11:38 GMT
There it was again: The piercing headache, just like when she woke up in the basement. Not again, CeCe thought. She opened her eyes as quickly as possible, not wanting to miss a thing and being able to react immediately. Her eyes widnened and her mouth was left open in pure shock. What was this? A sick game indeed. Herself and - nine other people were sitting at a table. The blonde detective, Carmen, and a black haired man next to her. She couldn't recognize any other faces.
"Attention, everybody!" a voice said. CeCe got goosebumps, it was so uncomfortable, creepy and scary. "Please, read and follow the rules of the game and nobody will get hurt..." The last part had quite the effect on CeCe. She immediately stood up and when she saw the note with the rules, she grabbed it out of reflex. "Umm...", she mumbled, hoping no one was angry with her for doing so. "May the odds be in your favor."
She read the rules quickly and quietly. In front of them were laying ten white cards and ten knitted bracelets in different colors. This is not good...This is some SAW level shit.
"I...", CeCe tried to find words to express her thoughts, "I .. can't read this out loud." CeCe....calm the fuck down... She went on with a strong and loud voice, "1. Pick a card face-down. Do not show or tell what card you got to anybody till you will be asked to." She stopped and quickly put it back on the table, simply not having the nerves to read it again, especially out loud. "Someone else needs to read it...Sorry.", she said as calm as possible
CeCe looked around, trying to find anything useful, trying to find a way out. Again: nothing helpful, no way out. Unless she wanted to burn all of this down with her lighter, she had no chance and, more fittingly, no other choice than "play". Anger and sadness were boiling up. Should she pick a card? She had to. She didn't know what to do. But there was simply no way for her to avoid it. The more cards still on the table, the higher the chance that she would get a good one .I love you, Dad...I'll come home to you..I promise..I'll get out of here.. CeCe wanted to see and take care of her dad so badly. He wouldn't survive on his own for long. She was more than happy that she told Drake about him. He wasn't in this room, which could mean he was dead or maybe alive. Maybe he even...escaped?
CeCe took a deep breath, preparing not to show any emotion.
She picked her card and looked at it. She knew the rules. She knew the meaning of her card.
Time to..play?

Post by Silvio Savidge on May 20, 2020 19:43:41 GMT
Silvio felt sore, sore like that one time he had accidentally fallen asleep on his chair. He had been sore all day long after that one, and this felt similar. How he had fallen asleep while sitting up? He opened his eyes slowly, his vision little blurry from the sleeping gas caused grogginess. He blinked a couple of times and reached to rub his eyes a little before taking another look on his surroundings. This wasn't the room, this was... something new. He looked around, slowly registering everything he saw. The cards, the food, the people... wait, he recognized two faces. He let out a gasp when he saw Dean, and wait... wasn't that the guy he had bumped into in the basement? He couldn't recall his name but Silvio was sure it was the guy, or just another guy who looked like Snape. "Dean!" Silvio called, instinctively trying to get up and almost losing his balance. He looked down to see his legs tied, great. He sighed, sitting back down.
The whole scene made him feel more anxious, this wasn't good. Was he here with Dean because they had been talking too much? A girl next to Dean reached for the rules and started to read them out loud, visibly getting more and more upset. Well, that was not a good sign. She couldn't even finish reading them out loud.
"I can do it." he volunteered before he could even give it a second thought, taking the note and before he started to read, Silvio cleared his throat.
"2. There are three values of the cards - the black heart, the red heart and 8 circles. Do your best to make the black heart and red heart meet but yet again without revealing what value of the card you got yourself. Cheaters will be punished and eliminated from the game." Silvio paused, wincing. Eliminated? Well, that did not sound good, the anxious grip in his stomach got tighter and tighter.
"3. I will give you some time to think. Relax, get a drink, get to know each other! I am no monster after all, ha-ha. The note literally says 'ha ha', I'm not laughing." Silvio said, adding the last part to make sure no one would suspect it was him. There was nothing to laugh about.
"4. After the "signal" you should find a partner for tonight and pair up with matching string bracelets. Remember Black and Red heart must meet - this is... this is the only way to win this game. And that's about it! Ta-ta... Good luck." Silvio finished the note with a sigh, win a game, what game? His face turned a little pale. He put the note back on the table and picked his card, looked at it and put it back in the table.
"I think this is more of a test from them than a game..." Silvio said, looking around the room.

One day I will set this right

Post by Geoff Alen on May 20, 2020 21:43:03 GMT
Geoff remembered falling asleep in the bronze room after another pointless search through had led to nothing. That and he didn't want to scare Emer. Well, more than he already had. He was getting real sick of this pass out stuff, and not just the gas. When he woke up, he bit back the amount of cussing out he had to their jailer. Last time he didn't play by the rules, he nearly died of shock. Literally. He looked around. Loose handcuffs were the only thing securing him. Thank God.
But then he recognized the room they were in,
This dining table was nothing new to him. He had been here before, scaring girls. The only woman he recognized, outside of Hannah, was the blonde woman. That was the detective right? Geoff wasn't in the mood for reacquainting. There table had no gun. Great. No Russian roulette. But instead, the instructions were written on a piece of paper. A woman with raven hair took one look, read maybe a few sentences, but said that she couldn't read them out loud. Geoff didn't blame her. In retrospect, he should have read his instructions after his "charade" had been revealed.
A man with a thick black mustache took over the reading for her. The point of the "game" was to look at the card. There were three values to keep track of, and the goal was to keep the hearts together, and the values couldn't be revealed out loud, otherwise someone would be 'eliminated' Geoff nearly gagged at the 'I'm not a monster' line. Yeah, sure, because a monster wouldn't make people play a sick game. After a 'signal', they were supposed to match up, again, making sure black and red met.
"Did it say what the signal was supposed to be?" he asked the reader, "This wouldn't be the first time...God damn it, Hannah and I have been through enough. These freaks need to find someone else to pick on." He looked at his card, still fuming, and locked what he got in his mind.

Post by Gregory Hopkins on May 20, 2020 21:44:18 GMT
Ugh...It hurts. Gregory's back started to hurt again like crazy. He didn't remember when he falls asleep and why he not in a horizontal position. When he set down? Is it what people call the "sleepwalking"? When people don't remember what they doing while deep sleep. Ok. But it seems like Gregory carried the heavy rocks all night. The old man tried to move and heard the clank metal noise. Oh, no. That's can be real...
Now his eyes started to see more clearly. The old man wasn't in his room, it was something like a dining room. He sitting right a front of the big table full of food. And also this crazy kidnapper gave some bottles of wine for his prisoners. What a nice present for such an asshole! The lighting in this apartment we're a hot dark, but some candle helps to see all guests here. Yes, all this time he wasn't alone, and now, the poor people also heavily woke up after the sleeping gas. The atmosphere here reminds family dinner or...the date? The rich dinner, wine, candles... All this back Gregory to the warm flashback. He saw a lady of his heart a front of him. Only her tender and kind smile makes Greg feel safe and happy. And her shy smile was the best smile of all of the word. How long they didn't go to the romantic dinner?
"Attention, everybody! Please, read and follow the rules of the game and nobody will get hurt...". The loud noise back the old man to really. A game? What a hell? Gregory can't keept all his anger and rage inside. He closed his eyes and started counting to calm down.
One... "Pick a card face-down. Do not show or tell what card you got to anybody till you will be asked to." The women's worried and nervous voice started to read the main rules of this game.
Two... "There are three values of the cards - the black heart, the red heart, and 8 circles. Do your best to make the black heart and red heart meet but yet again without revealing what value of the card you got yourself. Cheaters will be punished and eliminated from the game." The voice suddenly changed to the male.
Three... " I will give you some time to think. Relax, get a drink, get to know each other! I am no monster, after all, ha-ha. The note literally says 'haha', I'm not laughing." Gregory opened his eyes and moved his hands. Yeah, even in a handcuff they are freely moving and he can take some drink now. The old man opened the bottle and pour some calming alcohol in a wineglass.
Four... "After the "signal" you should find a partner for tonight and pair up with matching string bracelets. Remember Black and Red heart must meet - this is... this is the only way to win this game. And that's about it! Ta-ta... Good luck." Greg sip a little and now he was ready to take a card, that laying just a front of him.
- "So, this is like a poker game bit with Russian roulette elements. Interesting..."
He looked at the picture on the card, but his face didn't show any emotion. He understood the rules right and he understands that some people can do the same and also cheat, for the win. Ok, now he is ready for all games that wrote this mastermind. It's time to show that he, not the poor victim in the hunter's hands. HE IS a real hunter here!

Post by Lydia Hadley on May 20, 2020 22:05:46 GMT
It had happened again. Lydia woke up with a familiar feeling of grogginess. Yep. She'd been drugged. Again. Or something like that. This time, it was something different. She pumped her fist in the air. YES! The redhead exclaimed in her mind. I'm not completely tied up this time. No one else may have been celebrating, but it was the smaller victories. Somewhere across from her, she noticed someone vaguely familiar. This always seemed to happen. "Wait.. Professor Weisenbachfeld?!" Never mind that now. This was a strange situation. Someone had picked up a card and explained the logistics behind the whole situation.
1. Pick a card face-down. Do NOT show or tell what card you got to ANYBODY till you will be asked to.
Lydia had done so as soon as someone had said so.
2. There are three values of the cards - the black heart, the red heart and 8 circles. Do your BEST to make the black heart and red heart meet but yet again WITHOUT revealing what value of the card you got yourself. Cheaters will be punished and eliminated from the game.
3. I will give you some time to think. Relax, get a drink, get to know each other! I am no monster after all, haha!
"Pfft." Lydia chuckled yet again at the man's added portion.
4. After the "signal" you should find a partner for tonight and pair up with matching string bracelets. Remember Black and Red heart must meet - this is the only way to win this game!
And that's about it! Ta-ta! Good luck!
Lydia glanced at that card and sighed. Who knew what was gonna go down now?

Dean woke up, groaning as the grogginess stuck with him as it did in the basement. How many days had he been stuck in this ro- - Wait, what? He blinked a few times as he took in the new environment. It was... nice, if one ignored the restraints and well, the general feeling that the people that had woken up were giving off. Had Emmy gone through something similar? Was there going to be someone walking around, aiming a gun at everyone?
He scanned the room quickly. No Emer. Good, she deserved rest from what she had been through. Silvio was here though, as well as someone he thought might be Geoff, that is, if Geoff was even here. Not that it mattered, he seemed to have zoned out when Silvio went through the reading of the card, so Dean had to get up and aquire whatever knowledge the card held for himself. He frowned as he read the contents of the card, and he glanced over to the deck of cards that by now was reduced in size to about half.
In short time he had finished reading and drew a card from the deck whilst putting the instructions back. He glanced around him quickly to make sure nobody had the genius idea to look over at what he was doing, before quickly taking a look at his card. After looking at it, he put it back on the table, face down, and started thinking. It was time to apply game theory to this situation. After all, they were likely expecting certain results, and he'd do his utmost to make sure they weren't how they expected.

Post by Hannah van de Berg on May 21, 2020 0:24:41 GMT
Hannah had been put to sleep so many times now that her consciousness of what was real and what was not was starting to shift and merge into eachother.
She was having yet another nightmare. This time it was about the wedding. She had not said the right thing and katherine, noah and poor geoff all were shocked until their brains were fried. There were also new guests. People she cared about. Freya who looked terrified and two people who she could not identify but their voices made clear the faceless people in the room were ethan and Huxley. Hannah wanted to scream however no sound was able to leave her lips. Even worse, when the wedding guests were on the ground meeting their end she saw someone with the mask geoff had been wearing walking over to freya ethan and huxley. He was holding a gun. A real one. Before she could scream she was awoken from her nightmare by a loud announcer voice. Hannah gasped and shot up in her chair. She held her chest in a reflex as she looked around the room. Waking up like that made her a bit dizzy but still she was awake.
Breathing a bit heavily she scanned the room not really listening to the voice from the speakers. She still had to catch her breath from her nightmare. Seeing geoff made her calm down a little. Even though he looked stressed and a bit angry like.. most times she had seen him now, he was alive. Thank god he was alive. She looked around not really knowing anyone else.
The man with the moustache started to read the rules and hannah felt her blood run cold. Another deathly event. "T-thats not fair.. how can we even figure out who we need to pair up without being able to give hints..?" She asked as she hesitantly grabbed her card. Her voice was hoarse and she wanted nothing more but to run and hide at this point. There was way too much pressure. She looked at geoff. She wished she could reassure him but did not know how. So she decided to stay silent until people spoke up. She looked at her card memorizing the sign on it.

Belle opened her eyes as the voice woke her up. She try to stand before she fell back into her chair as she hear the metal hit against the chair. "May the odds be in your favor, this isn't the hunger game" thought Belle. She grab the card that was in front of her as she took a quick look at it before she slide it into her bra. "Thank god I had the hiding spot added into my bra"
Belle looked around the room as she saw her roommate sitting next to a few new people that she didn't see them before. "How many people got kidnapped for this crazy game" She saw some bracelets, food and wine sitting on the round table. Belle just wanted to go home and be with she sister or her girlfriend, what was the point of holding all these people here?

Post by Carmen Edinburgh on May 21, 2020 4:06:39 GMT
—"Attention, everybody!" The tired woman, who had been gassed all over. Felt her eyelids slowly ascend— Where was she? She tried to move her legs to only feel them cuffed, “For christ’s sake...” She muttered under her breath as she eyed the surroundings. Guess I’m in a game. Had the essentials, tied up victims in some odd situations that could or could not include death. Now we’re talking. Sarcasm. "Please, read and follow the rules of the game and nobody will get hurt..." She had that painful gut feeling that no matter what was going to happen, someone probably would— at least mentally. But another question rang, who’s talking? It was a woman’s voice and she figured that she needed to remember it. Since it was either the captor or accomplice. Either one rang alarm bells in her ears. Giving the table some attention, it was an interesting set-up, like some odd get-together; not some romantic candle-light. Then those colored bracelets. What are those for? "May the odds be in your favor." —. . . Could someone really die? Because what could’ve been their grand favor? Getting out alive? Or being the winner.. Before her attention being grabbed by a female voice, Carmen rested her hands on the table and eyed the girl. She looked awfully familiar— wait... The makeup, the hair, the voice— She was, that girl. The one with the ‘coincidental encounter. Guess this captor really likes there variety. Sighing as she noticed how nervous she was, not out of pity or annoyance; just sadness. Since it was overwhelming and it was really unfortunate to see it manifest in real time. "1. Pick a card face-down. Do not show or tell what card you got to anybody till you will be asked to." Okay, so there’s that. One rule down, how many more to go. Then she heard a man say he could do it. So, she looked at him. He looked like that type of guy who had every video-game console is his collection and probably ate sedentary food everyday, and doesn’t sleep. If the baggy eyes said anything, but eh— she wasn’t one to judge. "2. There are three values of the cards - the black heart, the red heart and 8 circles. Do your best to make the black heart and red heart meet but yet again without revealing what value of the card you got yourself. Cheaters will be punished and eliminated from the game." She frowned, what did they each mean? Wait— she decided to think of the semantics. There’s more circles, the majority. So... Neutral? So nothing happens if you have a circle? Since having 8 people die in one sitting was the plan but, if she tried to think through the killer’s perspective— would not have been a ‘fun kill’. One red and black, black’s related to death and... Wait— let’s hear this out. "3. I will give you some time to think. Relax, get a drink, get to know each other! I am no monster after all, ha-ha. The note literally says 'ha ha', I'm not laughing." “Do they honestly think they’re not?” She was perplexed, genuinely perplexed. But okay, not the first time she’s met or in this case— seen through paper. A bad guys case of denial. But the man’s insightful commentary made sense, they probably shouldn’t have been laughing. "4. After the "signal" you should find a partner for tonight and pair up with matching string bracelets. Remember Black and Red heart must meet - this is... this is the only way to win this game. And that's about it! Ta-ta... Good luck." “And what happens if they don’t?” She just stated blankly, would someone die? This person had no issue with kidnapping, entrapment and putting them through these. What were the odds they drew their line on murder, real slim. She picked her card up, eyeing it for a second before placing it down. "Wait.. Professor Weisenbachfeld?!" Did she really just say— Her eye’s peered to the side, after noticing all the people in the room, to her sleeping professor. She chuckled over at lydia, “First person I’ve heard ever saying his last name right, kudos to you for that.” Usually her class back at Yale called his Weisel or Hux. All fun and games really. Her eyes looked over to everyone else in this place. —"I think this is more of a test from them than a game..." Since if their was a wrong pairing, they’d be screwed— at least one person dying and to some extent, all of them being responsible. Especially the ones with the red and black card, no pressure. But that would mean she’d have to look at their faces, see if their expressions could be some giveaway to what card they had. Kind of like poker. Like the refined man who could’ve been her uncle [Gregory] alluded too. Then she heard Geoff ask about the signal, she looked over to him, “Something tells me we’ll figure it out.” —"This wouldn't be the first time...God damn it, Hannah and I have been through enough. These freaks need to find someone else to pick on."— She stared, before clearing her throat. “What were you both stuck in?” Time to get to the crux of my dilemma on that sitatuion.

Post by Huxley Weisenbachfeld on May 21, 2020 15:47:35 GMT
It was just like any other night. Ethan and the professor settled into a nice routine over the days. Huxley going to bed at 8-ish, having an argument about Ethan taking the bed for at least tonight, Huxley accepting defeat, and falling asleep after some tossing and turning. Moral was getting low. Although him and the young man got along nicely, spending all 24 hours together with no other distractions, besides that good for nothing magazine was clearly getting to both of them. Tomorrow is a latter day, he thought. Though having hope that they will ever get out of that dark room was getting harder and harder.
"Attention, everybody!" oh-oh...Huxley lazyly opened his eyes, but once his vision started to clear his eyes widened and his expression was between shocked and terrified. He looked around frantically to make sense of where he was, after that initial panic, when he finally took in his surroundings he noticed, that he was sitting at a round table with some familiar faces...mainly...his students? At first he assumed he must be back home then, but, he noticed the others, and his hope faded. “Oh rake man!” he nodded towards Silvio as a greeting. Huxley was sitting between two pretty ladies, none of which he seemed to recognize. "Please, read and follow the rules of the game and nobody will get hurt..."
H-h-huuurt? No… they wouldn’t...but the conversation he had with the lady Hannah through the wall. She mentioned some sort of cuffs..he looked down and indeed his legs were tied to the chairs, but at least his arms were free. Good thing too, because he was eyeing that stack of cheese that was dangerously close to him, dangerously for the cheese that is, because he was going to devour them in a second. No, stop it, he shook his head, this was not a time to think about the freaking food. This was serious.
A black haired lady took the note, but after a few sentences she put it down, instead rake man volunteered to continue it. As he listened to the rules, he as was clear to the other grew more and more agitated. A thousand things went through his head. What..how...who..”Remember Black and Red heart must meet” this was way too much. WHAT THE DEVIL WAS GOING ON?! He tried to think of a distraction. Anything. He felt like he was suffocating. He couldnt hear anything and his vision was becoming blurry. What can you smell Huxley? Focus. ..THE CHEESE! Huxley all of a sudden stood up from the table in a robotic motion and grabbed the plate holding all the cheese, pulled it to himself, sat back down...and started to eat.
Oh yep. That was exactly what he needed. His nerves eased instantly. His face relaxed. For a moment it was just him and the cheese in perfect harmony. He also wanted to have something to quench his thirst. He noticed a man around his age who was drinking something. The professor looked in front of him, and sure enough, there was a glass before him too filled with wine. Well..Huxley was never much of a drinker, maybe in his younger years, but now he had to lay off alcohol for his own mental health. Besides he wasn’t used to it anymore either. Who knows what would happen if he drank again.
Before he could focus back on his beloved cheese however, he heard something that got his attention. "God damn it, Hannah and I have been through enough.” Hannah..? Huxley looked up like a dog who just heard the sound of a squeaky toy. Could it be..? "T-thats not fair.. how can we even figure out who we need to pair up without being able to give hints..?" his head snapped in the direction of the brunette next to him. “H-hannah?” he asked his mouth full of cheese. “It’s meh Huxjdley fwom the oher side oh dhe wall!” he said, his voice muffled.
"Wait.. Professor Weisenbachfeld?!" his attention now turn toward the redhead, one person away from him. It was Lydia, he always liked her because she was one of the few, who managed to get his name- ”First person I’ve heard ever saying his last name right, kudos to you for that.” Carmen chimed in. His ex-student from back in his golden years. The girl seemed a lot more happy and confident from the last time the professor saw her, well, as happy as one can be here. But still he was glad, that she recovered from that incident in her past. “Mmmm yesh hellow gurhls…” Huxley finally swallowed the cheese in his mouth. “I mean hello girls. Nice to see you.” he said seemingly unbothered by the situation. Was it possibly because of the cheese? Yes. In fact he was going to reach for another slice when he noticed every person reaching for a card. Oh right… guess he should do that. There was only one card left…
He picked it up and stared at it. He blinked twice and tried to remember what it meant...he put it down, his nerves were kicking up again. He stuffed his face with cheese, though it didn’t taste as good anymore.
He looked around the table at everyone. Eight people. Surely none of them will get, badly hurt...or worse..right? Right… The man was sweating heavily at this point. As he scanned the room his attention shot back to the man who was drinking from that glass before. Huxley took his own glass and gulped it down in one sitting. His heart was now beating a tiny bit slower, and he felt a nice buzz in his head, though the sinking feeling in his chest did not disappear. He reached over Hannah “Sorry, dear” then he turned to the man “Sir, do you mind..no? Okay.” Huxley said not waiting for a response, and took the bottle, then poured himself another round, he even spilled a bit over the table, then stuffed another slice of cheese in his mouth and drank some red fluid on top of it. It hadn’t even crossed his mind yet that the beverage or perhaps the food was poisoned. Even if it was it didn’t matter anymore. He used the distractions provided for him to forget about the terrible situation he was in. Forget, forget. He was always good at that...

Silvio's eyes turned to Geoff, well wasn't that guy dressed fancy. He looked more around the table, stopping at Hannah before he turned to Geoff once more. Something told him that something had happened, but Silvio didn't know what it would be. Had the woman been kidnapped on her wedding day? That would suck, well, this entire thing did suck, but that would just make it even worse. Though then again that guy there looked like he was the husband, so at least they were together.
"It didn't say what the signal was, but I'm sure it would be obvious." Silvio pointed, eyeing the drinks and food on the table. He didn't feel like eating any of them, the food and drinks could just be poisoned. The food in their door hadn't been poisoned surely, but these could be. He wasn't really that hungry anyway.
"I don't know what would happen to us if we just didn't do anything, but I rather not find out what happens if we don't do what the note says. They are... Well, not to be trusted." Silvio said, never trust your kidnappers, aliens or not. Next, he turned to Huxley, chuckling a bit. He had a hunch the guy had been the same guy from the basement, the guy he had bumped into and the guy with sweaty hands. Who was now shoving his face in with cheese, well, that was one way to cope.
"The rake gave me an awful bruise on my forehead, fucking hell." he cursed as he touched his forehead without even realizing it. "I don't know most of you, I think, but my name is Silvio Savidge. It's very nice to meet all of you while being partially tied to a chair."

One day I will set this right

The mustached stranger looked over in Geoff's direction. Wll, at least it wasn't a stink eye or one of mistrust. Instead, the guy just looked at him. Geoff blinked. Oh. Right. He was still in this stupid tuxedo that the "officiator" had him wear to his "wedding". Part of of him wondered why he even kept it on. Was it because if he even snagged a thread there'd be something worse than a shock coming his way.
"It didn't say what the signal was, but I'm sure it would be obvious." the stranger answered. "I don't know what would happen to us if we just didn't do anything, but I rather not find out what happens if we don't do what the note says. They are... Well, not to be trusted."
"This isn't my first rodeo with...THEM...This...is my third." Many of these people that were chained here had no idea what Geoff had gone through. As Geoff surveyed the area, his eyes fell on someone. Greg. Greg Hopkins. The man he saved down in the basement. If he openly admitted to firing a gun at these women, what would that do to what he hoped was budding respect? It'd put them right back at square one. On the 'Go to Jail' space. But there'd be no bail money for him to get out of. He just left it with some basic advice. No need to go into the grittiness or explaining his side of the story. Besides, THEY would be watching. "All I can say is, we have no choice...if we want to walk away still standing."
He had been manipulated, shocked, force married, and now here he was on a 'date night'. He looked at the woven bracelets in disgust. He had a very small flashback to when his sister Christine was in girl scouts and for a charity drive, she had to make woven bracelets. He had been lassoed in to help by his mother and her. His fingers had been raw by the end of it. The bracelets didn't even completely fell out. But one thing Geoff knew was possible. The bracelets he and Christine made as kids did NOT possibly contain electric shockers or poisoned needles or whatever...
Speaking of poison, someone was wolfing down food close by. Hannah recognized the fellow as a 'Professor Weisenbachfeld.' Geoff's stomach did a weird acrobatic trick that would make the Cirque du Soleli look like a kindergarten gymnastics class. How many bottles of wine were there in this place. Better yet, what brand was it? Maidefield may have been in a state famous for its wines, but he never bothered to really take any home except for after some winery tour with Badass Rooster player Bob. That wine was nowhere in sight. It also wasn't what he preferred - which was a classic Menage A Trois Red Blend. Professor Weisenbachfeld reached for the wine bottle he was studying,
“Sir, do you mind..no? Okay.”
"Help yourself. I've lost my appetite."

Little tip, woman to woman - don't piss off the diabolical ones.

CeCe looked closely at everyone starting to react to the "game". Almost everyone seemed as shocked as her.
She turned to the guy next to Carmen who introduced himself as Silvio. He wasn't CeCe's cup of tea, but if she had a rough day and met him at a bar... Who knew what could happen. They all had to get to know each other, eventually. "I am CeCe", CeCe replied straight forward. "I am working as a nurse. Mobile nurse. So I take care of people being sick at home." Now it was time to work together and get out of here. She turned to Carmen and talked quietly to her. "We can probably agree that we both would prefer different company, but... Let's put our differences aside for this. Deal?" After all, probably both of them had experience with surviving and finding their way out of difficult situations.
The situation got even more bizarre when CeCe realized there was a couple dressed in wedding outfits and the guy clearly has been through something like this already. CeCe wondered whether they were captured on their wedding day or not. "So...", CeCe addressed the man, "Are you two... Married? And.. You were in a game before?" So there were multiple games like this and people were actually able to survive.
CeCe saw the professor eating cheese without worrying about it. She decided to just go for it and grabbed a glass of wine and some fruit. "Ohmygod. Finally. Finally good stuff after all the water and bread."

Post by Hannah van de Berg on May 22, 2020 10:16:15 GMT
Hannah looked around her as people were taking their cards. She sighed as she looked at the scenery in front of her. Wine. Again. However the chocolates were replaced with something more savory. Hannah almost laughed at the Irony. Cheese. If there was something reminding her of home it was cheese. It did not make her any more hungry though. She looked at the man next to her. The black haired man was stuffing his face with cheese and wine. She could not really blame him for eating his stress away but did not trust the food in the slightest.
“H-hannah?” She suddenly heard him say. She turned to face him. "yes?" “It’s meh Huxjdley fwom the oher side oh dhe wall!” Hannah looked at him for a second before covering her mouth at the sight. This was not what she had expected at all. The situation put a small smile on her face regardless of the messed up game they were in. " I did not expect us to meet like this" she admitted. " I am .. sorry to meet you here but glad that i have in general. If that makes sense" she told the man. One less faceless figure for her nightmares. He reached over after saying hi to his students and Hannah leaned back a bit to let him. She looked at Geoff who was sitting on her other side. Geoff was looking at all of this as if it would poison him upon touch. And in all honesty that wouldn't be too far fetched.
She gave Huxley a worried look. " sir , please be careful. We have no idea what might have happened with the food.." she said under her breath. She did not want to upset whoever was watching them but she sure as hell did not want the kind professor to drop dead before the "game" even started. He looked very nervous. Even more nervous then when she had told him through the wall about the whole thing that had happened before with him and Geoff. Granted he was now in an event himself and that was even scarier but still. She felt bad for the man.
When the blonde woman who was introduced as Carmen spoke up she did not know how to tell the people in the room what had happened without making it all sound insane. Gladly Geoff spoke up. Listening to the way he spoke and what he told Hannah understood he did not want to tell these people what he had to do. So she decided to help him. " Agreed. Geoff and I have been together in these type of messed up games for a while now. I don't even know how many times that gass knocked us out by now. I just want to tell everyone who is taking this as a silly little thing that this is very much real, and messed up. Geoff and I have been forced to do things that we do not condone and were very lucky to still be here as it could have been much worse." she told them. She could still feel the shock and recall Geoff on the ground when it looked like he was going to die. Hannah looked pale.
She looked at the woman who introduced herself as Cece. She gave her a small smile before looking at Geoff. She would let him tell what he wanted to. She was not going to mention the shooting if he did not want to.
