Another day, another room, another roommate. Jessica realized that she began to consider the previous room as hers since she was there most of the time and she even changed its original appearance. The girl could only wonder if someone finds her secret message but honestly, her enthusiasm has vanished. Jessica was deeply affected by Dean's words and the promise she gave Kim. She must be careful and hope that villain had forgotten about her instead of keeping an almost mute girl for the final deadly game.
Her nightmares came back and Jessica woke up in her new room from one of them. The details were blurry but she remembered that she saw how her friends were badly injured. Some of them were dead but Jessica was totally okay. She was wearing a fancy wedding dress and was standing behind the glass, observing the chaos, being not able to even hear their painful screams.
So Jess woke up from her own scream even though it was too quiet to wake up her roommate. The girl carefully stood up from the narrow bed and stared at the girl that seemed familiar. She was the one who was shot by Geoff. What was her name... Hannah. Geoff's wife he talked about.
Jess was upset that it was not Kim or any other of her close friends and a little confused. She assumed that if you are married in this game you should stay with your partner forever, like, isn't it the whole point of the marriage? But no, Hannah was separated from Geoff... was this some kind of test of their "love" or were they "divorced" for example?
Well, there was only one way to find out.
Jessica carefully observed the room. It was poorer than her favorite one but still better than the one Dean had described. It meant that despite her ridiculous attempt to rebel Jess still was at the mercy of kidnapper. Probably Dean was right and it was her role in this story. She was Cosette, not Enjolras or even Eponine. So... let's play alone. Her disobedient corpse won't be useful anyway.
The girl knew what she was looking for. A bookshelf. Yes, she could speak a little but it was still hard and painful for her, so she would prefer to write. There were not so many books but Jess still found the one and habitually began to write on the first blank page.
"Hello, I'm not sure that you remember me. My name is Jessica and I was with you in Russian Roulette. It's hard for me to speak, so I'd rather write if you don't mind. I really hope that you're okay and you have not participated in other "games" of the kidnapper," why Jessica still wanted to know? She could not say. Her conversations with Dean and David had to teach her to avoid bitter truth but her nature of the seeker was too powerful to resist. "Do you know how is Geoff? He is my friend and I worry about him."
Jess realized that she was calm, almost as Dean and David were. It seemed that that talk through the wall mentally exhausted her and even though the girl had anxious thoughts from time to time, she was strangely calm, just waiting for something, patiently and persistently.
Finishing her writing, the girl slightly touched Hannah's shoulder to wake her up. When she did, Jessica showed her the book with her writing made with a bright crayon, awkwardly smiling.

Now that Hannah had Dorians watch she was able to keep track of the time much better. She had found out that the room switches were timed. It did not really surprise her to hear the low hissing of gass filling the room. Was it insane to pray for better hallucinations? she looked at the room seeing how drake as well started to notice it. She smiled weakly. " I wish you the best.. I hope we get to talk again" She said softly before feeling how her eyelids were getting heavy and eventually she fell asleep.
It was silent. And boy was that a terrifying sound. It was dark as well. Nothing but darkness was surrounding her. What was she going to see now? What nightmares had her mind prepared for her. But there was nothing. It was honestly a bit scary. What did that mean. Was she growing numb? No. No that could not be it. People were dying, people were being traumatized. She could NOT go numb now. But it was so exhausting. just passing out and waking up having to adjust to someone else and some place else. Was miss baker already fed up with her? Did she decide the woman knew too much, had she been spreading too much info? Was she going to wake up in another death trap? She tried to look around her in the darkness feeling more and more dread when nothing was happening. She was alone. utterly alone. If she was to die in another stupid game there was NOBODY back at home to shed a tear. Yes some people who were in the building cared about her, but they would be forced to move on quick, they would be forced to go down the same path. Oh dear god were they all going to die alone in this god forsaken place. Why had the police not found them yet! how hard could it be to find such a big building that could hide so many people! She was breathing fast. This wasn't good. Yes she had hoped her nightmares wouldn't be as painful but this, this was much worse.
A soft touch on her shoulder snapped her out of her starting panic attack. She turned around to the darkness to see who had touched her. This was when she opened her eyes. She caught her breath as she looked around her, cold sweat going down her back. She blinked as she locked eyes with the red haired girl in front of her. She looked familiar. getting out of her trance she looked at the book the young woman was holding up. She gently took it to read the words written in red.
This poor girl. She looked back at her. " Yes Jessica i remember you.." she said softly. she was still a bit shaken up but managed to compose herself as she returned the awkward smile with a relieved one of her own. It seemed she was spared. for now. " I see.. My name is Hannah, I .. I am sorry we had to meet like this. I ehm.. was but I am okay. I have been spared mostly. " She admitted. " How about yourself..?" She sat up a bit straighter as she felt her motherly nature kick in again. Or maybe she just wanted to focus on Jessica to not be confronted by her own worries and feelings at the moment. " Writing is completely fine, Excuse me for asking something so personal but has this been something you had before being kidnapped or something that happened due to another event..?" She asked the redhead giving her a caring and a bit of a worried look as she handed Jessica her book back.
As she read about Geoff, Hannah bit the inside of her cheek. The last time she had seen him was after their marriage. And things had gotten.. a bit strange. She still hoped the man was doing well however. " I have spoken to him a while ago.. so I don't know how he is doing currently. When we spoke however he was allright. " She assured the girl. "Strangely for someone obsessed with marriage it means very little" she said.

The girl was not sure that she was happy that Hannah remembered her from that event. Honestly, she saw Jessica's worst side that day. The girl was a total mess, she hysterically cried, and there was absolutely nothing she could do. Even though Jess realized that everyone was too scared to care about the redhead girl, she was still ashamed of herself. She must be better than this and she will be.
It actually was kinda dark here, and Jess, still trying to please people around her be polite and caring, turned on the light, so it would be easier for Hannah to read her notes.
Jessica nodded hearing Hannah's introduction. She has known the woman's name but Hannah could not know about it. It was still nice of her to introduce herself. However, there was something else that caught the attention of the girl. Just one small remark.
"Mostly?" she wrote when she got her book back. "THB I was only in Russian Roulette. But there are not so many prisoners who are so lucky. Some of my friends have suffered a lot." Jess was sure only about herself and... Kim. But she was gone and it meant that she also was drugged into this nightmare outside of the cozy room.
Actually, Jessica knew that was coming. It was an obvious question, especially knowing that poor David went blind in this place. Jess realized that it was quite possible to lose the voice in these games but for better or for worse Jess faced with this problem before the series of unfortunate events.
"That's okay," the girl awkwardly smiled. "It's just a complication after laryngitis but unexpectedly I'm better now." And maybe, just maybe, if I survive this, if cops find us soon, I'll scream "Finally" when I return home.
Jess was upset hearing that Hannah has not spoken with Geoff for a while. She wanted to be sure that he was okay and she did not include in her secret message the name of the corpse. Moreover, Hannah was right and Jessica agreed with her in a written form:
"That's weird. Like, I thought that the kidnapper has one job, to match people and marry them against their will. This goes beyond any logic already and I don't get why you and Geoff are not together if she wants to ship you so much." Jessica stopped writing. She was not sure if she wanted to add this but she still did. "I hope she did not force you to do something more than just exchange the wedding vows." Since when Jess became so cynical? Dean's influence, that's for sure.

Hannah looked up as Jessica got up to make sure she had more light to see the writings. A faint blush appeared on her face. Oh great just great why had she herself not thought of that. She smiled a bit awkwardly "thank you" she mumbled softly.
She quickly went back to the writing. "Oh.. nothing too serious don't worry, it's just that hearing about all the events and the worrying has its effects on my mental health. But I suppose we are all in the same boat with that one" she said as she did not really want to complain about that since she was sure that she was not alone. She was well aware everyone deserved to feel the way they did but it just felt selfish.
" I am very sorry to hear about your room mates" she said. "I have been talking to a lot of people to spread and gain information.. are there any people besides geoff you know?" She asked Jess. "And.. uhm.. who have you heard of?" She asked. It was good to hear how people were holding up.
Reading about Jess and her condition made hannah slowly nod. "Allright.. i see.. but you said things are going better?" She asked as she was interested in the girls well being. "Thats good news right?"
The question about her and geoff made the blush from earlier reappear as she shook her head quickly. "No, No nothing happened thankfully." She said. Oh god how messed up that must have been. It was thanks to one of her students, heather, that she actually knew what 'shipping' meant. She had been talking about it in class and another friend of hers was quick to point out heather was a helpless romantic or a 'shipper' at heart. " I am not sure why the woman in charge even values marriages so much. She makes us go through traumatic games to find "the one" only to push us into different rooms.. it is as if she does not know why she is doing this herself."

All of the prisoners were damaged. Physically, mentally, sometimes both. It was impossible to go through this shipping experiment without consequences. Jess believed that only someone like Dean could do it... even though he could hide something as well. His calmness could be a banal posture or coping mechanism.
Jessica appreciated the boat metaphor and nodded. In the same way, it often happens to her, the music turned on in her head.
I float in a boat In a raging black ocean Low in the water And nowhere to go The tiniest lifeboat With people I know There was a surprising amount of her friends in this boat and Hannah's question coincided with Jessica's thoughts. Strangely, they were on the same page. Not to mention, that Hannah had the same strategy as Jess, also spreading and sharing the information.
"I know a lot of people here. Some of them, like Kim, Sawyer, David, Freya, Gregory, Aoi, Maya, Etherekan and Geoff I know from my past. I also met here Emmy, Evan, Carmen, Noah, and Dean. As far as I know, all of them are alive but Ethan lost his nail, David went blind and bald, Sawyer lost her hair too, Evan got a horrible scar... " Jessica felt her hands shaking while she was writing this. She accepted the truth but still, it was painful even to think about such a horror. "Carmen told me that a redhead girl was shot but I'm not sure if I know her." Jess bit her lip. She still hoped that she did not know her. It was a blessing not to know her name.
The girl smiled and nodded because it actually was good news. "I was hit by the painting and it made me scream lol," she decided to be more sincere and added an abbreviation to show that she was not hurt so much. And how writers write their boring books without these shortenings and emojis? Her sentence would be too depressed without them.
It seemed that the main villain luckily was too conservative or just did not want prisoners to have kids in such miserable conditions.
"Maybe she is mentally unstable?" wow, Jessica, you have found the most polite way to describe her condition. She is insane. She is a psychopath. "Her actions are too illogical and controversial. TBH at the beginning of this, I wished she just spoke with us and explain her motives instead of hiding behind the cameras," the girl nodded in the direction of one of the cameras in their room. "But now I realize that even if I meet her there is nothing I can tell to change her mind and release us. We just must stay alive until police find us."

Hannah watched how Jessica started to write. It was certainly something else but communicating with her like that was fine none the less. It made the older woman look at the girls body language more. Before with Dorian and Noah hannah had been able to read their emotions due to the tone of their voices. She was glad that she was able to speak to jessica face to face instead of through the wall. She was not sure of how to talk to her otherwise. Maybe yes and no questions but still. That could only go so far. As jessica wrote about the people she knew hannah could see how her grip on the crayon got tighter. The girl was more tense as she was shaking. Hannah sighed as she looked at her. She felt bad for jessica. She had been right. Everyones mental health got affected.
She was not sure if she was overstepping bounderies but she gently reached out to put a hand on her shoulder for a moment. Encouragement.. Support.. Compassion.. people seemed to be needing it. "I see.." she said softly as she gently removed her hand to not make the redhead feel uncomfortable. "Thats a lot of people.. I have spoken to noah recently. He is allright still and has not gotten hurt. He was actually roomed with saywer when she was pushed into one of those events.. that poor girl.. the boys also.. none of them deserve this torture.." she said as she looked at the book.
"I think you are right.. I have been talking to some people and one actually knew the woman who got us here. He had nothing to do with this however. It.. came to my attention that this whole thing is not new to her. She has been powerhungry and in need of control for some time, so i would not be surprised if you were right she is indeed not.. then again that became clear when she made her first victim." Hannah mumbled.

Probably Jessica was a good actress on the stage but in real life all her emotions were written on her delicate, naive face, so it would not be hard for Hannah to guess her thoughts, especially considering the fact that Jess believed that she had nothing to hide.
However, she did not expect that Hannah had a desire to comfort her... even thought she had to get used to it since most of the people Jessica met had a strong desire to protect this delicate flower and cheer her up. The girl did not pull away when Hannah touched her shoulder and politely smiled. She appeared this gesture and her hands stopped shaking but at the same time Jessica realized that she did not need encouragement as desperately as before. She valued it, of course but was not surprised and shocked by it as earlier. And... It was nice that she was not the only one who tried to disturb the personal space of almost unknown people. The only difference was that Jessica was pushed away, more or less delicately.
Hearing about Noah Jessica suddenly moved and got into attention. She was glad to hear something about him. "It's great that he is fine. Noah is a good man, I spoke with him through the wall using Morse code." Jess started wondering and added the following:
"Btw, did he tell you about the woman who came to visit him in his imprisonment? The same one who hosted Russian Roulette." Noah told about her very vaguely and Jessica wanted to know more about her. Even Dean was unable to kill her natural curiosity.
Okay, that was a twist. There was the man who knew the main villain? Jessica knew that she was missing something! This man must be very important if he has the connection to the kidnapper. Maybe he is Teddy's lost brother!
"Who is this man?" Jess wrote impatiently, luckily her handwriting was still recognisable."Can you describe him?" Jessica could only hope that situation with Carmen won't repeat when she confused killed girl with Kim and almost died of grief.

Hannah was glad Jess did not seem put off by her friendly gesture. She returned the smile with one of her own before quickly focussing on her writing. The girl had a neat handwriting. The words were readable even if they were written in crayon. Crayons proved to be kind of messy in the past but jessica knew how to use them.
"Yes I agree. He is a good man" she said. And hannah meant it. If anything Noah was an ally, a potential friend if he felt the sane way. At the mention of the woman hannah slowly nodded. "Uhm yes, he has told me bits and pieces but when he wanted to tell me more the gass came to knock us both out again." She admitted. "Do you know more about her?" The brunette asked. "Noah said something about her being a victim in this as well" she added.
She thought back about jess mentioning morse code. "Is morse code hard to learn?" She asked. "If we get seperated after rooming together I wouldn't know how we could talk to eachother if there was a wall between us" she admitted
Reading Jessica's words made hannah bite her lip a bit. "Im not sure if he would like me talking too much about it" she admitted. Then again she was only telling people the informative part of what they had been talking about. No way she would tell people about the personal things she and Dorian talked about. But the information on why she might be doing this could be useful.
"I'll tell you the important things" she decided. "His name is Dorian, he is a good and kind man even if he looks a bit intimidating. He is tall and has dark hair." She said. "He and a girl here named Claudette, they both know the woman behind this. Claudette was the blonde who was at the roulette game." She said softly. "It turns out the lady is not only "shipping" us, but she used to be a matchmaker before she was fired.. thats why she is trying to match all of us to someone i think" she said speaking in a lower more whispering tone of voice. She did not want mrs baker to well get mad at her. Then again. She had been spreading so much info it was inevitable.

If Jessica was a fictional character, she would be quite a recognizable one, with a set of features. Muteness, crayons, and Morse code, to be precise. Actually, crayons and Morse code became an important part of her life because of muteness, so the girl could just wonder - what would be left of her if she was not mute?
Jess was a little disappointed. Noah was a good man, that was for sure (as all of the kidnapped people of course because common enemy unites) but if only he shared all he knew! Jessica despite her muteness was a chatterbox and wanted to know more, observing clues like a sponge. "Not so much," she wrote. "He said that she wanted to see something he had found, and his hair color, but that was all. I don't know how why she needed such information." Probably Hannah was right and this woman was just another victim as they or Teddy. What the hell was going on here?
Hearing about Morse code Jessica became enthusiastic. Dean would probably call it pointless but Jess stubbornly believed that secret language was a good idea.
"It may take some time," admitted Jessica. "But it's not like we're in a hurry. I may teach you if you want. I was also practicing Morse with Carmen and left notes on how to master it in my previous room." Because why not?
Jess was nervous when Hannah said that the man would not like to be talked about. She wished to know so much but likely she did not have to persuade Hannah to tell her more, she did it willingly. However, Jess understood her concerns. She was also afraid that she made things worse for Teddy, talking about him.
Dorian... Like Dorian Gray. Easy to remember, that's good. Jessica was trying to remember if she saw such a man and she suggested that that was a one that was bitten by Katherine and she thought that he could be a good leader... even despite this accident.
And Claudette... no associations here besides Bonnie and Clyde... or Cloud from Final Fantasy... Let's hope she won't forget because the information that Hannah shared was crucial. These two important characters were vital pieces of the matchmaking puzzle. Jess believed that she saw a blonde girl during the game but it was hard to remember her face.
Jess was so overwhelmed by this new information that she did not know what to write for a certain amount of time.
"That explains a lot," she wrote. "And it's not surprising why she was fired. Even besides all her crimes against her victims, she is a horrible matchmaker." Jess stopped, thinking if she should cross out this line but eventually decided that she should not. "I don't know about you and Geoff and I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but Sawyer and David... she clearly prefers someone else." Jessica began to write faster, trying to return to the topic. "In any case, maybe it's some sort of revenge against Claudette and Dorian, maybe she was a bad matchmaker for them and now she is trying to prove them wrong, using us like toys and completely losing her mind in the process."

Hannah sighed. " I'm not sure but, I suspect that this woman is like us" she admitted. " Noah told me he met with her and she looked beaten up. that was the last thing I could hear. The way he made it sound I think that this woman has been trying to make couples way before us. As if we might be the second wave or something" Hannah said as she looked Jessica in the eyes. " I have also been roomed with some new people, people who were just put here after others met their end.. So I feel as if she is "refilling" what she lost." the brunette said as she was a bit bitter about that. This was not the way to go at all. It was inhumane and straight up wrong.
When Jessica asked her if she would like to learn morse Hannah nodded. "yes I would love to. That way we could stay in contact" she said. It was important they had a way of speaking. "Thats very smart of you..! to be honest if you have enough paper, I would leave something like that in every room. It can really be useful. Especially if we are being watched and listened to. " the teacher said looking at Jessica.
As Jessica took in all the information Hannah caught her breath. Yes it might be really overwhelming indeed. However she had to share it. It was better to be prepared. And in all honesty, giving others info was the only thing she could do right now. If she couldn't she would be useless inside this building.
Snapping back to here and now she looked over to read what jessica told her. " No it is not surprising at all if this is the length she would go to actually make things happen" she said. She read about her and Geoff. Hannah thought about that. She had no idea if she and Geoff were a bad couple. Well yes, the way they had been coupled up was outright insane however the two of them had gotten along pretty good after the awkward wedding and breaking the ice by joking about stupid things. She looked at Jessica as she read the part about sawyer and david. " She did.. Oh my god this must be a horrible situation. You know my friend Russel he is here as well. And with people getting married off.. Im worried. He IS married to a beautiful and kind woman. I just hope he is not forced to do anything to maybe damage that.. You.. Know Geoff better then I do. Does he .. Is he in the same situation Sawyer is in? " She asked. She wanted to know if Geoff had his eyes set on someone. She had not asked but she would feel really bad to be ' the other woman'.
She looked back at the paper. " I wouldn't be surprised if that were her intentions yes, but I think it is not only Dorian and Claudette she wants to prove wrong. I think it goes deeper then just that. If I understood correctly this thing was her whole life. Her honor. So I think she wants to prove everyone including herself that she can do it. And now she has gone off the edge.. She clearly needs mental help.." She said softly.

Another day, another victim of Asian matchmaker. More likely painmaker. Jessica just could not understand how this woman was so powerful. Of course, she had money and weapon but it was not like she was some kind of blood mage. The kidnapper was a regular person, just an insane one, and she managed to capture half of the city in the trap and force them to play her cruel games. And she also abused her victims that was just horrible.
Maybe Jess did not exaggerate too much when she thought about half of the city. There were other victims before them. Some kind of a backstory.
"How many of the people were killed?" Jessica wrote, not believing that all of this was real. "I know only about redhead girl that was shot during the card game and Dean also said about corpses that were in the room," she shrugged.
When Hannah said that she would leave something in every room Jessica just was staring at her, not believing what she was hearing.
"You must be a telepath!" she wrote, slightly laughing, even though her laughter was very quiet and gentle. "Because it's the thing that I did in the previous room. I have left notes in one of the books. There were Morse code and all the info I knew, mostly about games and captured people. Freya and I also found a notebook with a list of weapons and animals, she also made a hole in an orange room to this one... And also I wrote about Teddy. Do you know him?" writing this part Jessica was bending down to hide the text from the cameras. "So, I may do the same in this room as well. Luckily it has some books. And of course, I'll teach you Morse." Jessica believed that she would have a good time with Hannah. She was a really nice woman and while Jessica wanted to be more like Carmen (strong, confident, smart, and charming), she realized that Hannah was a perfect future version of Jess herself. She was a woman Jess may be in the future, without self-loathing part probably.
Jess bit her lip. She was single and in this particular game, it was her blessing so she won't suffer much if she should marry a total stranger as princess Annelise from her favorite Barbie movie. But Hannah's question made her uncomfortable because she began to have certain doubts. Kim... Geoff... It was so complicated.
"Tbh, I believe that he and Kim liked each other," unwillingly admitted she. "But I don't know how serious that is. Maybe just a crush, I dunno. Don't worry about it." she shrugged her shoulders, pretending that it was not a big deal but... it was for some reason. Still, Jess was confused about it and did not know why she was feeling this way. There was something about one of them...
Hearing about how insane this woman was, Jessica felt some sort of disgust and pity. "She is not Zuko to restore her honor." Jess wrote that even though she was not sure that Hannah would get the reference. But it was just too good to be wasted. "But I wished she was searching for the Avatar instead of torturing us. In any case, you're right, this obsession is not healthy. If only she could speak with us and listen to the voice of reason to stop this match-ness." This pun was much better than painmaker, Jessica was improving.

At the question about people who had not made it, hannah felt a bit tense. "Uhm.. well" she said softly as she started. "As far as I know there have been three people who died in the events so far.. Unless there is an event we don't know of yet.." she admitted. She did not know if Jess wanted to know the names. Hannah knew them. She was sure she would not forget them either.
When Jessica wrote further she had not expected that much text. It did not matter since she was used to info dumps by now, she just wondered if the girls wrist was not getting tired. She let out a small chuckle. "I suppose great minds think alike?" She said as she smiled at Jess. "Im all honesty.. I have been thinking about doing something for those who we lost. A memorial of some kind. I wouldn't want their names to be forgotten" she spoke in a soft tone. What if they all died and nobody was left to tell people what happened. The families would not get closure.. it was a rather painful thought.
Seeing Freyas name on the paper made a weight lift off her shoulders. "You were with freya? How was she doing?" She asked the red haired girl in a worried way. It had been a long time since she heard of her. Reading about the animals and weapons made her frown a little. She could not place that with the info she had so far. "It may be a long stretch but, do you think our captor is some kind of hobby hunter..?" She asked Jessica. "I mean.. the russian roulette game, the same gun was used in the card game." She paused for a second realizing once again that that confetti gun might as well could have been loaded with a real bullet. ".. I mean, she knows how guns work.. or someone she works with knows. So that is a scary thought" she admitted. Hannah read on and shook her head. "No I do not think I know about someone named Teddy" she admitted. "Could you tell me more about him?"
Reading Geoff and Kim might have feelings for eachother made her feel a bit odd. There was nothing between them, hell they had just met eachother. However she did not want to make things hard on Geoff with the whole marriage thing and the fact they kissed twice now. Once forced at the wedding and once.. well would she call it willingly? She still was not sure what Geoff thought of her and the situation. "I see.. thank you for telling me." She said as she gave Jess a weak smile.
Hannah had to dig deep to understand what Jess was referring to. God was she really that old? Avatar. Not the thing with the blue people.. It was the thing with the elements right? She swore she had heard a discussion about what type of benders people in her classrooms would be during one of the lessons they spend on working with clay. " I am going to take your word for it" she said with a shy chuckle as she was not entirely sure if she had the right thing in her mind. "Either way.. It is super messed up.. I was thinking we were involved in some dark web stuff before, I can only hope it is just one woman behind all of this" she said. Maybe it was childish to have hope they could defeat this one woman but hey, being a negative nancy was not going to help anyone.

Three people. Three dead bodies. Three lives were over. If only this was just a TV show as she initially thought! Even though Jess did not know the victims it was still shocking for her.
"Names?" she whispered softly, deciding not to write this part but to train her voice a little. Also, she just did not want to write this question because writing something immortalizes it. And Jessica was not sure if she wanted to know the answer. What if not a faceless stranger but her friend was killed?
Jessica has trained her hands during her imprisonment for sure. Morse code, writing, more Morse code, more writing... she was using her hands all the time and could just hope that she won't lose them in the future game. Her voice was recovering though but still.
The girl nodded with the soft smile on her face but then she became more serious. Doing a memorial was actually a good idea. No one deserves to be forgotten. No one deserves to fade away. No one should come and go and have no one know he was ever even here. No one deserves to disappear. Jess knew that well and even when she was playing the games that required a lot of killing, she tried to bury the bodies somehow if game mechanics allowed it, instead of blind looting. "We may also write their names in the books or on the walls," she suggested in written form. "And maybe do some kind of memorial with the materials we have in hand." The girl turned her head, observing the room, and then added:
"We have a cactus, a carpet, some clothes, and books. It is not much but better than nothing," even though Jess was not sure that this memorial would last for long. The kidnapper could easily destroy it right after the room switch.
Freya... she seemed to be fine but Jessica was not sure about it at all.
"She was not hurt but I guess she was hiding something but she did not tell what was troubling her." Maybe Jess had to be more persistent? Freya supported her greatly but it seemed that Jessica failed to do the same for her.
"Maybe." Jessica wrote. Hunting could be an option. "That would explain why she is so obsessed with guns. But I doubt that she works alone because she should be a bodybuilder to carry bodies of such people as Dorian."
Teddy was a long story that Jessica successfully have shared almost with everyone she met in hope that they won't attack him when there is the chance. The girl shook her tired hand and returned to her writing.
"He came to my door and we were drawing together. It seems he is a son of the kidnapper and he is a strong man with the beard. However, he can say only one word "Teddy" and overall acts like a child. Another victim."
Jessica was carefully observing Hannah and she suggested that matchmaking could not be so bad. According to Hannah's reaction and the question itself, she liked Geoff... like who did not? This man was breathtaking but... It was a complicated matter and lost opportunity anyway. They had so much fun when he helped Jess with wings for the outfit but they never got a chance to get closer... and that was good, because of Kim.
"Don't wind yourself up," she wrote. "If you are destined to be with him, you will, no matter what. If not, that's all right - your soulmate maybe just behind this very wall." Jessica would show the specific wall she meant but she could not, because she was writing, not speaking.

As Jessica asked for names Hannah went over the list in her head. " The people I know of were named Lydia, the girl who died in the card game.. And Della and Cassim. They both died in a game of hang man that they were forced to play with katherine and Dorian. Dorian was supposed to leave and take Della to be his bride. Della did not want to. She and Cassim were in love. So.. they decided to stay together." She said softly as she looked at Jessica.
Seeing the writings on the memorial made her think. " I think that writing their names on the wall would be seen as vandalism.. However at this point I feel like that might be the best thing. " She admitted. " I know it could get us in trouble so I won't say this is the final plan. I mean we have a desk I believe we could put a paper there. That would be more safe. I just don't want them to be forgotten." She said. She looked at the items Jess mentioned. No that could not be all right? She got up. " Thats.. A start" she said " Perhaps we can find something else to add to that list?" she thought out loud as she started to walk around the room.
She made sure to keep reading what Jessica was writing though. She liked talking with the girl. She seemed bright and clever. Kind too. An empath for sure. " I see.. that sounds like Freya. When I was roomed with her she tended to push her thoughts away to comfort me. While I apreciate it i would have loved to give something back" she admitted.
" I suppose" she started. she then read on as she looked at what she had written down about teddy. So teddy was maria's brother..? Oh god how could mrs baker get both kids into this mess. " I would not doubt what you say for a second, however please keep in mind that his mother did this to us, and she is most likely forcing teddy to.. Well be the one to carry the bodies.." she said softly. She was not against Jess feeling empathy for teddy, she just wanted her to be careful about it.
When the topic went back to geoff her eyes widened a bit. " Oh..! Oh no uhm" she could not help but blush slightly. "its not that. I mean we just met that would be strange" right? it would right? " I just wanted to be sure that I was not standing in between something is all..!" she said as she quickly continued to search the room.
