Hannah could not really concentrate as she sighed. " nothing.. I suppose its going to be a cactus memorial.." She said with a weak but sort of disappointed smile.

Lydia... it was a familiar name. Kim and Jess had a redhead classmate with the same name... Jessica bit her lip and shook her head. No, it cannot be her. They were not close, just knew each other and that's it. She was much closer to Kim but... no-no, it's just a coincidence. Maybe Dean was right. Ignorance is a blessing. Jessica did not want to ask clarifying questions to make sure. Even though it was not her fault, Jess was too coward to accept it.
Luckily, only the first name has troubled her so much. She was sure that she did not know any Cassim or Della. However, even without acquaintance, this story was horrifying. Jessica was silently moving her lips in shock, being unable to say (or rather whisper) the word. That was horrible but in some way... beautiful. Like, Romeo and Juliet or other fiction that romanticizes death and suicide. Jessica understood that nothing was charming in this tragedy but it still could not but have these associations.
"That's horrible," she wrote, realizing how dry it must sound. "I just don't get it how this woman let them happen. She claims that she wants us to marry someone and probably be happy but she did nothing when she saw true love. Maybe because she shipped them with different partners but still... she does not have a heart if this sacrifice was nothing for her."
Jessica innocently stared at Hannah because she committed at of the vandalism in the previous room when she painted the walls. It was not the thing she was proud of but still the girl did not value the property of the kidnapper much. Maybe that's why this room is worse than her previous one..? But still, if she was here but not with naked walls it meant that other people behaved much worse than her. Jessica could only wonder what Dean has done to deserve such a room.
In any case, she nodded and began to wander around the room looking for anything else that could be useful, but no luck. It was awfully empty besides items that she mentioned. Giving up the girl took the cactus and placed it on the desk, instead of flowers. She also began to look through the books, looking for the perfect paper. Jess had an idea to use Teddy's drawing but was too selfish to give it up, even for such an honorable cause.
Hearing about Freya, Jess nodded. She acted like this in front of both of them. "I just hope that she opened up to someone," she admitted in written form. "I also wanted to support her but there was not so much I could do if she did not want to share her troubles besides this whole mess."
Jessica was shocked, hearing that Teddy probably was the one who was carrying the bodies. Poor thing! She must abuse him and he does not understand what he is doing! He still did not help Jess or anyone else to escape, so he must be afraid of her as well. His own mother.
Jessica realized that she began to appreciate her own family a bit more.
The girl hit the nail on the head. Hannah liked Geoff and that was completely understandable. Hearing her question she shook her head and wrote, stopping to search the room for a moment.
"Not strange at all. To fall in love with someone you've just met, especially if you were married against your will is a common plot for romantic stories." Jess just could not resist. "Also, Geoff is breathtaking," she admitted, blushing while she was writing this. "And you're not standing in the way. But even if you were..it does not mean that you should give up." Jess had mixed feelings for writing this. Was it a piece of advice to herself, rather than Hannah? Or was she trying to understand her own feelings, making Geoff happy at the same time? Or... maybe she just did not want any girl to be Eponine and die on the barricade, sacrificing for a man who did not love her and did not care for her at all.

Hannah was still a bit sad she did not find anything but a nice quiet place on the wooden desk would do.. The brunette sighed feeling once again, useless. She moved over to see the words jessica wrote.
"Yes I agree.. It is strange that she is obsessed with people getting together, but does nothing when actual couples start to present themselves. Perhaps its because she did not personally match them together so she can not claim any credit, as.. cruesome as that might sound" Hannah admitted. As she once again tried her best to find something in the room she was even more frustrated they did not find anything. It really was as if the asian woman was against her. Well she was. But hannah did not believe that the two of them had any personal beef between the two of them. Well.. not yet.
The teacher read about freya and nodded. " I hope you are right.. It would not be fair for her to take all this weight on her shoulders without being able to talk to someone." Hypocrite, she instantly thought. Maybe she was just Jealous that Freya was actually able to keep things to herself and she was .. weak enough to bother others. Then again it could not be healthy.
Hannah looked at the desk thinking of what she could possibly do to make it more.. Honorable. Or would keeping it small be better? Maybe the woman would not notice it if they kept it small. She looked at Jessica wanting to ask her what she thought as she saw the girl writing again.
As she read about Geoff hannah sighed as she looked away a faint blush on her cheeks. " I think it is a little strange. It might be forced by trauma but still it is not right. Besides he is in love with this kim. I bet she is lovely since both you and geoff worry so much. If the two of them have feelings for each other I would not want to be in the way in any way shape or form." She admitted. She looked at the red head as she added the compliment. " Say.. What do you think of geoff..?" she asked. Did she just think he was attractive or did she have feelings for him as well. God she was way too old for this. Hannah shook her head. " No I.. It would not matter Jessica, Geoff is not in love with me and that is fine. He is just playing along like any smart person would do." She said. Hannah shook her head. No she was well aware that she and geoff would not be a thing. She was just stressed and Geoff had been charming and kind to her. It was her mind tricking her because she needed affection.
Yeah keep telling yourself that..

Jessica heard Hannah's opinion and slightly shook her head in disagreement. It was not like she did not agree with her suggestion, she just found kidnapper's motivation weird and irrational. Was this woman so selfish? Even if the people who fell in love were not those who she picked, it was her who made perfect circumstances for that. In real life they could ignore each other but here, without hope, it was easy to crush, in all senses of this word.
"It's just selfish." Jessica wrote, eventually deciding to voice (ha-ha) her thoughts. "She made these circumstances to fall in love, so she could count these couples and" she crossed out the last word. Jessica wanted to add something like "and not kill those who disobey her OTPs" but decided that it would be disrespectful regarding Della and Cassim. Jess did not know about them but still could not be so cynical. She shared the room with Dean not long enough.
Jessica carefully has torn out the page from the book, making sure that it was blank from all sides and the quality of the paper was decent enough for this case. She handed Hannah this paper and when she took it, the girl wrote in her book, explaining what she wants:
"I believe you should be the one who writes their names. You were the one who told me about it and without you I would not know. Also, I suppose you have better handwriting."
Hearing that Geoff in love with Kim, Jessica gasped. This was just so... not right to say this out loud. Jess was afraid that Kim liked Geoff a little and thinking that he liked her too... it was just wrong. Who knows... maybe both Jessica and Hannah were just another Eponines in this cruel world. How funny. Actually, it was the least important thing they should worry about.
"Kim... is amazing," Jessica whispered with a soft smile. It was hard for her but she still decided to say it. It was weird that she described both Geoff and Kim using almost similar adverbs. But actually, her feelings and admiration were completely different. She adored Geoff as if he was some superhero or rock star, while her admiration for Kim was warmer and much more intimate.
"Geoff is breathtaking. He is very smart and I want to know him better. He deeply impressed me and he still does." That was the truth. Was it something more besides the desire to be closer friends? Who knows. Jessica did not know for sure. "And it's not like someone is on someone's way. Geoff is a grown-up man and not a price to be won. We may make thousands of suggestions if Kim likes Geoff if Geoff likes Kim but that does not mean anything. As for me, I crush all the time," Jessica blushed when she was writing that but she decided to be true to herself. "It's very easy for me to fall for someone but I believe that eventually, I find the one. It may be my friend, my enemy, or someone entirely new. It's just written in stars and if I should be together with someone I eventually will. And if not - that's okay too. If I have you, Kim, Geoff, it does not matter if someone of us marries someone or we have "ménage à trois"... four." Jess was not sure if she should be so sincere but still... maybe she will die in a game tomorrow. And even though it's quite poetic she did not want to sing about her feelings when she was tragically and slowly dying.

Hannah looked at the book as she sighed. " I wish it was that easy.. I think it is kind of preaching to the choir but i think she might not be.. " She lowered her voice a little. " entirely sane.." She said as she looked up at Jess. " And that ehm.. makes her unpredictable. " she said. " I am very much sorry for your friend if she is .. taking that out on him" She said as she was a bit concerned about teddy's wellbeing. If Teddy was her son then he was annies brother.. and .. with what happened to her.. Hannah did not believe Dorian had any fault in how Annie felt so it had most likely been her mother, mrs baker. Or that was what hannah thought. She was not sure of course. just theories.
Hannah gently took the empty paper as she looked at Jess. What did she want hannah to do? She looked at her writing and then back at the girl. " That is very thoughtful of you, thank you. I wouldn't be too sure about the handwriting however. You seem to be a pro at writing with crayons. " She said with a playful smile as she looked at jess as she was joking a bit. Her handwriting was beautiful however.
She blinked as she heard the reaction kim had. Wait. Or.. hannah tried to read her expression. She looked shocked by what hannah had said out loud but.. Not because of Geoff she assumed. Was it kim? She smiled weakly especially after hearing her talk about kim that way. She never really spoke so the fact she decided to say those words out loud must mean that she really cared a lot.
Before the woman could ask if it was indeed kim who she had feelings for she began to write. Hannah watched and nodded slowly. " You're right. I did not mean it that way though. I mean I kind of.. experienced how that felt. " She said with a small chuckle. " I wouldn't say it like that but you are right he is an adult he can make his own choices" She said softly.
As she continued to read she smiled a bit reading about Jessica and her crushes. that was kind of cute if she were honest. " Are you crushing on someone right now?" She asked her. Hannah could not help but chuckle a bit at her suggesting they would just go on with the four of them. " I suppose that sounds like a plan" She said. Art was experimental right? And she was an art teacher nonetheless. Jokes of course.
She looked at Jessica. " you know.. Even though we just met today, I am glad that we did." She admitted. Jessica was nice company and Hannah was sure to add the girl to her list of people to look out for in this place. Hearing her say that she would be okay if she had Geoff, Kim and her made Hannah feel glad. " I have your back Jessica. " She promised

Jessica bit her lip and nodded, giving a quick stare to the camera. This woman (kidnapper, not Hannah, of course) was insane and not in the positive meaning of this word. She was ill, and Jessica realized that even if the police finds her, she won't go to jail because she did not understand what she was doing. Jess considered it to be very unfair. The evil will never be punished, no matter how many people she will kill.
"So, she won't be punished for her actions?" Jess wrote. "Even if someone saves us, she will be taken to the asylum despite all the things she did." Jessica felt that she was pushing her crayon. When she heard about Teddy, she stopped writing for the moment. "That's so unfair!" she wrote, being unable to hold her emotions. "Teddy does not deserve such a horrible mother, and we don't deserve to get stuck here and just watch as people, we love, die to please some crazy shipper!" Jessica almost threw her notes but stopped herself, sighing. She just hated being so helpless.
Although Jessica got used to writing with crayons and had quite decent handwriting, she had no idea how memorial should be written. But it seemed that Hannah did not know as well, so Jessica decided to try. Even if she fails, they still have some books for writing in them.
"Gone but never forgotten.
Cassim Della Lydia
Rest in peace."
Jessica wrote names in a different color than the rest of the text, hoping to highlight them somehow. She tried her hardest and did the best she could to make her crayon writing pretty and recognizable. Finishing, the girl showed the result to Hannah, asking for her approval.
When Jessica finished her writing regarding love and other stuff, she was red as a beetroot. However, even though her thoughts were quite chaotic, it seemed that Hanna did not mind it.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Jessica wrote, regarding Hanna's words that she felt the same way before.
Hannah's question was a tough one, and Jessica breathed heavily. Well... to be honest, she crushed all the time. She nodded, being unsure, just because she could not say who makes her feel in this way. Kim? That's the obvious option, since Jessica cares about her so much, but what if it was just a friendship? Geoff? She could just admire him, and that's all. Evan? He was the nicest guy Jessica has ever met, but was it enough for her?
"Yes... even now there are people that I like very much and I think a lot about them." She admitted in written form. "And it's hard for me to tell where ends liking and where crush begins." The girl smiled shyly. "I just... crush over and over and wait for boom after which I will finally make up my mind." Jessica needed something special, like true love kiss to be sure if this person is her special someone and not just "aw, they are so adorable, I love this person so much!"
...or maybe Jessica's plan will work, and all of them will live together in a big house as a huge family. Sawyer included, of course, and because of that Etherek is welcome as well.
When Hannah said that she liked that they had met, Jessica blushed. Wow, she made a good first impression. Well, honestly, Jess shared Hannah's feelings. She liked her a lot even though mostly in the same manner as Carmen. Not crushing one, but big sis one. However, unlike Carmen, these two were mostly on the same page and Jessica adored people who shared her views.
"Same," she wrote with a smile on her face. Hannah was a light of the sun in this darkness. "And I'll do my best to protect you too. Writing of which... would you like to help me to make notes for future residents of this room, so they will be informed about this whole situation?"

Hannah was just as bitter as jessica when she read her words. " I would not be surprised if she would plead for insanity.." she admitted. She looked at the young redhead next to her who seemed more fed up with every sentence she wrote. The brunette did not blame her at all if she was being honest. this was messed up. " I agree with you. " she said. " It is not fair at all. "
As Jessica calmed down she started to write down the memorial. Hannah nodded slowly. " looks good to me. " She said. It was not too fancy but it did the job. " I think it is a good thing to stay neutral, that way nobody is above anyone." She said as she thought the memorial was fine that way.
Hannah shrugged lightly. " Im not sure how to feel about it. Geoff is respectful and a kind man. I could have been coupled to someone much worse. It is just that this whole fear thing for the matchmaker is sort of putting a tense energy on everything. On one hand I am terrified what might happen to geoff or me once i take off this.. wedding ring. On the other hand I want to keep it on since it feels like it keeps us safer." She looked at jess. " It is just all super complicated. I am allright though. Thank you for asking. What about you.. Anything on your mind you want to talk about?" she asked.
She read about the crushes and smiled warmly. " I get what you mean. Feelings are .. difficult. " She said. " I am sure you will make up your mind one day and find someone. Someone who's right for you. Once it happens you wil know. And you don't have to know right away it can take some time to develop.. " She said as she truly believed that. Anyone would be lucky to have jess.
She smiled a bit brighter hearing that she made a new friend and ally. When she was asked about the notes she nodded. " sure thing. That would be lovely"

Life is not fair. The villains are rightfully punished only in animated movies. So, it seemed to be just the right time to become a nihilist. No matter what Jessica does, if she fights, or acts like an obedient girl, it won't change a thing. Even our good girl survives, the kidnapper will get away with it anyway. And the only thing that Jessica could do was to secure the legacy of those who did not make it. Even though she probably did not know them but still felt a little gilt. Jessica sighed with relief hearing that Hannah found her memorial note good enough because the girl did not have any ideas on how to improve it. She still felt awkward about it, like, even though it was a good idea, she was definitely not the one who had to do it because she was afraid that it was a little hypocritical. Jess did not know them, she hoped she did not. Jessica nodded and decided to be honest. "He is one of the best ones. If I could choose a man to be paired with, I would also choose him, or Evan or maybe David." She adored Geoff's mind, Evan was a knight in shining armor and David was the kindest soul she knew. Jessica suddenly realized that she was a greedy girl who preferred men that were already taken. Oh well. The kidnapper won't ask her opinion anyway. If she ever remembers about not-so-mute ginger girl. "So keep it," Jessica slightly smiled and touched Hannah's hand. "We don't need to make the kidnapper mad without a reason. And if after our escape you decide to keep it anyway it means that she did at least one good thing in her life." Jess wanted both Geoff and Hannah to be happy. They are good people and deserve it. When Hannah asked if Jessica wanted to talk about something she thought for a moment and then shrugged her shoulders. She did not know. Maybe later. Her kind speech made Jessica smile. She adored when people spoke with such inspiration as if they were movie characters. The girl nodded, that was right what she wanted to hear. However, now it was time to get the job done. Hannah and Jessica needed to write new notes in the book so new residents will know all the information. It would look approximately like this (the author is too lazy to rewrite from scratch, so let's just slightly edit the previous version): "Dear prisoner,If you're reading this, it means that the villain of this story has decided that you were a good enough boy/girl to live here. However, if you find this note in the first place, it also means that you still have a hope to get out of here alive and so do I.Our enemy is smart and dangerous and we can beat her only if we work together. I write this letter to share all the information that I know. Knowledge is power. I make a list of everything that I know about. Feel free to extend it with your own observations. However, you must be careful and so should you, I leave you one of my crayons for that.(the second page)The facts 1. The kidnapper is an Asian woman.2. She uses gas, guns (she had quite an arsenal), and electricity as a weapon.3. She probably likes sewing and snakes. The last one can be some sort of a code name as well.4. She is obsessed with weddings. She hosts cruel games and marries the winners against their will.5. She has a son. It's a man with a beard who can say only the word "Teddy" and it's also his name. He likes drawings and is very kind. Please, don't hurt him, he may be just another victim.6. There is also a young woman or even a girl who announces the games instead of the villain. Her intentions are blurry since she visited some prisoners as well.7. The building seems to be an abandoned hospital.8. All of us were kidnapped in the Maidefield.9. If you don't behave as the villain wants you to do will be punished and live in a horrible room with stale bread as an only meal.10. There is a hole between orange and green rooms, big enough to pass small objects.11. The villain used to be a matchmaker before she was fired because of Claudette.12. Blonde woman Helena spent a lot of money on plastic surgeries to please the kidnapper. Even though she helped the kidnapper before she came to visit Noah, being beaten up. We could hear her voice in some games and in the basement. 13. Kim, the girl with short ginger hair was taken by the villain. She probably uses her and blackmails. Help her if you can.14.Dorian married the matchmaker's daughter, Teddy's sister before all of that.(free space for further notes)The list of the games: Russian roulette (no one was killed, but only married), red and black hearts card game (Lydia was shot), Simon Says (David went blind, Ethan lost his nail, Evan was poisoned but alive, Sawyer was shaved off), Hangman (Della and Cassim died), (some space is left for further notes regarding the games)Just remember. All of us are in danger and we should be brave and careful to survive. If you read this, know that you can trust me, Jessica Fleming as well the other people that I will mention:Kim, Sawyer, Freya, David, Carmen, Evan, Katherine, Aoi, Gregory, Noah, Geoff (he was forced to shoot in Russian Roulette), Emmy (she may be suspicious of you but she means well), Hannah, Maya, Ethan Claudette and Dorian know the kidnapper from the past but it seems that they are her enemies. (space is left)Died: Cassim, Della, Lydia(space is left)(the third page) I'm almost mute, so if you hear the patterned knocking it means that I'm behind the wall. I have no other choice but to use Morse code. If you have a desire you may try to learn it. Otherwise, please just copy the meaning of dots and dashes. It may be useful not only to communicate with me but during games too, so a villain won't notice. Just remember, one knock is a dot, and two fast knocks - dash.(the rest of the page contains the list of the Morse code alphabet) "END OF THE THREAD
(Please update the information about the room including the memorial on the desk with the list of the names of those who were killed and this note in one of the books with a crayon, thank you!)
