PREVIOUS LOCATION: The Pshychatrical officeKim's chest raised up and down from the pressure of the situation but she still headed forwards towards their new objective. Strangely it did feel kind of like she and Jess suddenly became a part of a video game they usually spend their evening playing together. And with each determined step the woman took she was afraid to hear the boss music booming from all sides, crushing the inexperienced adventurers to dust. She didn't say a word while they walked down the hallway but when they finally made it to the kitchen door Kim swore under her breath. "Fucking- dammit!" she pulled on the handle but the door was closed shut. Hopefully, there is nobody in there having their midnight snack... The party meanwhile moved a bit to the left and tried the door to the room adjacent to the kitchen - the diner. "Teddy, can you head to the kitchen and... take a look? If there is nobody there maybe get some supplies?" Kim whispered to the big man cowering behind them. Even if he is going to get caught at least he will definitely make it out alive... Teddy nodded eagerly and rushed into the room with no hesitation or a second thought. Kim was a little bit astonished by his reaction so she just stood still along with Jess... listening. ... No. Silence. They were all alone.
And the rumbling sounds of opening cupboards and flying all around the kitchen plastic utensils... Nope, still seems like it's just Teddy. When the girls have entered the room they could see through the slightly opened doorway how Teddy was occupied running around the kitchen with a plastic bag trying to get all the best cookies and candies he could find. Kim let out a sigh of relief. They are still safe. For now. "Jess," the girl whispered as she has finally let her guard down and pulled her dear friend closer into a hug, "Jess I-"
"I am so sorry," she buried her head in a mess of Jessica's flaming-red hair. "I am so sorry I didn't want to leave you, I-" she caught as her voice let her down from the tension within her. She promised to be there for her. To be with her. To protect her. And now she has to leave her side... again. But Jess has to go. She must. This is not just about them now. It's about all of us. If one may make it out of this hellhole then there is hope for everybody. "I just wanted to protect you," she whispered feeling the lump of tears forming inside her throat. And yet after everything that has happened, there were no tears left. Kim pulled back from the embrace and looked Jessica in the eyes, her grip around her friend's waist tightened as she tried to pull the last bits of her confidence back together. No. Be strong. Stay calm, you- "This is it", she realized as she took in another breath. Those might be their last moment. She might not see Jessica again. When she walks out the door in the freezer it's all done. "I-" she mouthed trying to composure herself. Her baby blues glistened in the dark with emotion so strange but so familiar. It wasn't fear. It's wasn't doubt. Or sorrow. "I love you," she confessed with her heart out in the open. And it was true. It didn't matter if Jessica never did return her feelings back the way Kim did. It all didn't matter. Jess is alive and soon she will be free - it's all she cared about. She will always love her till the end of time.

Kim...
She kept Jessica warm. Both mentally and physically. The girl even did not feel that her fingers were cold. This warm was something more than a regular, physical one from study books. It came from the very heart.
It was like electrical shock rushed through her veins. Jessica got a flashback when Kim offered her hand in the same way as she has done now. The girl realized that even though the gingers have changed, both mentally and physically, one thing remained unchanged. Their feeling. Jessica's feelings.
Kim made her heart beat fast and caused one of those charming smiles that Jess gave people when she was enchanted by them. Even though there was danger around, Jessica did not care anymore.
Still, they had to move one, and on the way to the kitchen, Jess was constantly shaking her head, trying to focus. She had to think about how to escape and not about Kim, her soft hands, a beautiful smile, and...
Calm down, Jess she said to herself, trying to focus on the present. Be careful, just try to not hit the wall or trip over... The kidnapper may wake up any minute, and you don't know how Teddy would act, you should be prepared for everything... somehow.
Jess was going like a zombie, and romantic mood has changed into anxiety. She still did not know what Kim had in mind. Jessica trusted her blindly, but she was afraid that Kim may try to do something reckless, heroic to save her... And Jess just wanted to escape with Kim even though it would make their kidnapper angry. That was selfish, definitely selfish, but she just did not want to leave Kim here, alone, afraid, among the enemies. And anyway, how far this asylum should be from the town? They will come back with police in no time, the kidnapper even would not know that they were gone!
And if you leave your sister behind, it's lame 'Cause it's an effed-up world But it's a two-player game!
Finally, in silence, they reached the kitchen. When Kim quietly swore, Jessica, who was very close to her, quickly touched her hand to calm down.
"That's okay," she whispered.
"Thank you," the girl whispered to Teddy when he rushed to the kitchen... even though he did it quite fast. He should be worrying for a reason.
The girl held her breath, listening closely. No one. The room was empty, thank gods. Jessica sighed with relief. Maybe... everything would work out after all. They just should either help Teddy or wait...
Before she managed to loud her thoughts, she heard how Kim finally spoke. That was even greater relief than discovering that there was no one in the room. This pause was so long, and Jessica was afraid that...
Kim hugged her. Jessica answered that and held her as tight as she could.
"Kim..." she whispered. "I'm here for you," her delicate hand touched Kim's hair and began to pat her... it became short, but that was fine. Kim looked even more rebellious now.
"I know, I know," she quietly said, feeling a huge sorrow that Kim had to suffer so bad and feel this pain. "I would do the same for you," she kissed her on the top of her head. "It's over now, we'll escape soon and forget about this nightmare..." Poor, naive child... "I'll never leave you..." she could not accept the thought that she had to abandon Kim, especially now, when they both can get out of here...
When Jess heard that Kim was about to cry it broke her heart. She promised herself that after their escape she would do everything to make sure Kim would not cry again.
"Kim...?" Jessica asked, looking her in the eyes.
"I love you..."
It took Jessica a few seconds to realize what Kim actually meant. That was not just a friend's love it was something more than that. It was... true love.
Jessica believed that she was an eloquent one, but she could not find the words, being overwhelmed by her feelings. But suddenly everything became clear. The puzzle was finally solved. All these dreams and thoughts about Kim that she had could mean only one thing...
"I love you too..." she whispered and kissed her, softly and gently. Even though Jess did that dozen of times, this one was special. That was not just a kiss, caused by some romantic atmosphere or puberty... That was the kiss of true love, the one that should break the villain's spell and save them all. And even if it does not... Jess did not care, even if they did make it alive. Kim was everything that she ever wanted, and their love... that was more than enough for Jessica. Just to love her, be with her, kiss her... and never ever let go.

Everything stopped. Time froze. There was nothing left in this world. Nothing but the two of them. Kim allowed herself to close her eyes and move her hands up, entangling her fingers in Jessica's hair. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she did not dare to break the kiss.
They were at the balcony at the Maverik High. The night sky above their heads brighter than ever shined down upon them. Sewed with accuracy and patience butterflies on Jessica's baby blue dress glistened in the dark with that playful glimmer only she could breathe into them. The same glimmer she had in her eyes. Her beautiful emerald green eyes she looked down and right into. She was so close but yet so far. And now she was here. With her. In her arms!
And she had to let her go.
"Jessica," she breathed out, smiling, finally breaking the kiss. However, Kim couldn't speak anything else. In a second she found herself in yet another warm embrace, a row of silent yet happy sobs just escaped her lungs as she tried to calm herself down.
"Please, Jess, p- promise me you will be careful," she whispered as her arms tightened around her fragile frame, "I- I don't want to lose you." She knew this might be their only chance to seek help but sending Jessica alone into the wild when they could have been literally anywhere on the planet sounded as dangerous as keeping her here.
"I don't want to lose you," she repeated as she burrowed her face even further into the mane of ginger hair. As she blinked another tear crept down her left cheek. So the girl pulled away to wiped it and then took both of Jessica's into hers, squeezing them tightly.
"Jess I-" she's started her confession about the plan she had in her mind. "The thing I wanted to tell you... I- I don't- I don't want to leave you again but," it was hard to find the right words, her mind and heart were both racing rapidly turning her rational train of thoughts into mush. "We can't leave together," she shook her head in despair and squeezed Jessica's soft warm hands once more.
"Madge will go rampage on those who are left if all three of us leave the asylum," she looked to the side watching Teddy come back into the room with a bag full of food and some quite useless supplies - such as a piece of soap, a plastic fork and a rather short piece of rope. Even though the items were not the best for the long walk home Kim was satisfied with the number of rations. Of course, those were not the most nutritious of products but at least Jessica won't starve to death or dehydrate.
"So I- I had an idea-" she looked back at Jess and nodded her head towards the kitchen entrance... and the freezer door. "We could use one of the bodies to make it seem as if you... you," it felt so wrong to say it. "You committed suicide..." Kim couldn't even imagine what she would do with oneself if something like this has happened for real. It sounded so so wrong...
"Teddy found your body and brought it to me so we hid in the bag and put it in the freezer with the rest. The madwoman herself is too squirmish to check the corpses so I hope we will get away with it..." she truly hoped it would work. Kim tugged Jessica to follow her into the kitchen as she continued talking, "I also hope I will get the chance to talk to whoever shared the room with you before her or else..."
She didn't want to think about what would happen if their plan resulted in a failure. "Or else things will go south," she concluded as they came closer towards the freezer door.
"I wish I had a map or a flashlight or anything to give to you," Kim let out a sigh and gave Jessica a soft sad smile. She wished she could have left with her. To protect her. To make sure she makes it home safe. But she couldn't. However, the last thing she could do...
"But take this," and she took out the needle Jessica gave her one day out of her leggings and held it out to give it back to it's the owner. She wished she could have put it to good use but alas she wasn't given a chance. Now, however, she didn't need it as much as Jessica did. She has to be on her "best behavior" for the crazy bitch... and wait.
"But I can't wait," she felt as her chest tightened. The sting she felt back there in the room was back and it was tearing her from the inside... No. She had to let Jessica go. So she just stood there in silence for a moment not sure what to do next. She tried to find the right words until it hit her!
"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi," she smiled with the corners of her lips and bowed, "You're my only hope." As she quoted princess Leya the girl smiled again with her dry pursed lips and passed the knitting needle to her friend. Alas, humor was the only thing left that allowed them to survive every pressure and crisis.
After this little exchange, Kim turned back to face their big "little henchman". "Teddy!" she called for the man and he came closer still holding the plastic bag, "Can you get me anything sharp?" The man took a look in a bag and then nodded. As he turned on his heels he walked back to the kitchen counters.
"Marvelous!" the ginger smiled as she turned her attention back to Jessica. "Now, e-hm. Jess! I- I will have to ask you for one last offer... Can I- Can I cut your hair to... Try to make the... corpse look more like you?"
Kim felt uncomfortable asking her friend about such a thing but what else could they do? This was indeed their only hope.

Jessica did not cry. She was a softie and crybaby, but she did not cry. Her tears were a sign of deep frustration and pain, while now... she was happy. Despite the fear and horrible situation, she was truly happy. Even though this weak girl was a scaredy-cat, she was not afraid anymore. This moment was out of a romantic movie, and Jess clearly realized that she achieved her happy ending no matter what comes next. Of course, the girl still had her ambitions and dreams, but she finally has found her second half that was closer than Jessica could imagine. No matter what the future prepares for two ginger girls, Jess knew that she wanted to find out it together with Kim.
Jessica did not want to open her eyes and postpone their happily ever after. The cruel world was waiting for two brave girls, but Jess had a moment of weakness and delayed the comeback to reality as long as she could. Besides... it was hard to break the best kiss in your life.
When Kim did that, Jessica finally opened her eyes and saw tears on Kim's beautiful face. Jess slowly touched her love's cheek and gently wiped off her tears.
"They made you cry..." she whispered. "But that will end tonight," she took her hand and kissed it, looking into Kim's eyes. "You are the only thing that's right about this broken world." She hugged her, wishing to never let go.
"You will never lose me," she smiled, enjoying Kim's warmth. "I'll always be in your heart," the girl softly touched Kim's chest by her finger. Even though it was a cliche, Jess believed that such simple words are crucial. Everyone, even the strongest people, needs to hear such encouragement from time to time. After all, all the pop culture that we have shows us not the reality but our ideal perception of it, how things should be in real life. And Jess has decided what her world should look like.
"I will be careful, I promise," a guilty smile appeared on her innocent face. "This time for sure." She probably made the kidnapper mad with all her notes, Morse code, Teddy... That would explain why she had to leave her favorite cozy room with fancy dresses.
"Wait..." Jessica slowly began to realize that something was clearly wrong... and she did not like it. Kim was getting at something unpleasant. Why? What could be wrong? They were so close to leaving, together, at last!
"Why?!" Jessica clearly was upset, and even the fact that Kim took her hands did not help much. She stood back from Kim, refusing to believe. She saved her, why could not they escape together? However, Kim squeezed her hands and made her listen. And even though Jess was in despair, she tried to see reason.
Jessica realized how insane this woman was. She could easily kill everyone in the building just to feel better about this escape. The girl stubbornly bit her lip, trying to find any counterargument, but it was hopeless because Kim was right. Jess looked at Teddy and sighed.
"You're right," she admitted unwillingly. "I just... I just wanted it to be our final," the girl barely smiled and lowered her head slowly shaking it. "But it's just the second act. The last climax before the final battle." Jess looked at Teddy, who brought her a decent amount of supplies. She smiled at him, showing her gratitude... even though she would prefer if Teddy accompanied her himself. He was strong and would protect her from all the danger that would await her over the asylum walls. Even though Jess would prefer to face the wolves or get into the bear trap than encountering the matchmaker.
When Jessica heard Kim's idea, there was something strange about her facial expression. It was not like she found this suggestion bad or was terrified by the dark topic.
"Honestly I was thinking about it," she suddenly said. "No-no-no!" the girl gasped and waved her hands. "Not like actually commit suicide! I was thinking to fake it to escape! So..." Jess awkwardly touched her hair, "I kinda regret that I was not the one who offered it." She shrugged her shoulders. "Good thinking, Kim." Jess believed that probably because of her love of games and anime she was not afraid of blood and death as concepts. So it was okay for her to discuss how would they pass someone's corpse off as Jessica but actually she felt relief that she would not do it alone at least. Jess... probably was not ready to meet lady Death.
Jess followed Kim into the kitchen and when she mentioned Jessica's roommates, the girl grimaced. "There were a man named Silvio... and Etherek." She sighed. "As you could guess it did not go well. And either he is too sensitive...or I am a bully," Jess did not want to tell Kim that they fought because of her because, despite the argument, Jessica did not want to fall so low. Kim hated Ethan enough, there was no need to make it worse.
"It's dangerous to go alone..?" Jessica could not resist when Kim said that she wished to give her something. But it was something, that the girl did not expect. The Needle.
"Kim..." Jessica whispered. That was beautiful. Kim was beautiful. It was such a beautiful, solemn moment that Jess decided not to spoil it with extra words. Kim broke this silence by the reference and the girl could hold a smile.
"I'll save you, my princess," she bowed in return, accepting her gift. In Jessica's head, it was not just a common knitting needle but a sword of a chosen one at the very list. Jess slowly hid it in the pocket of her trousers. It could not protect Kim now, and the only way to do it was to bring help as soon as possible.
"Everything for you, my love," Jessica smiled when Kim asked her for the favor. "Just promise me that it won't be THE last one." How strange... it was so easy to call her that. As if she always did it. It just felt right.
"Honestly, I thought for a moment that you wanted to keep the lock of my hair... like, romantic gesture," she giggled, mostly at herself. This romantic atmosphere had her head completely turned. "That's okay," the girl turned away from Kim and let her hair down, so all of her ginger locks were now on her back. "So three of us can be hair cut buddies now." To be fair, Jessica always wanted to do something rebellious like that and cut her hair short but she never had the courage.

Teddy! ♥
|
Post by Theodore Wong on Oct 15, 2020 20:57:57 GMT
When the girls have entered the kitchen Teddy was way too occupied with his task to find everything they would need for their long trip! A couple of candy bars, two bananas, some sugar cubes, a bottle of water! Nice, nice, nice! While occupied he didn't pay to the girls or their dialogue that much of his attention. Even when the two have walked into the kitchen themselves. Besides, he didn't know where to find a flashlight either or who the Obi-Wan guy was. He sounded cool though! "I promise," with the corner of his eye he saw as Kim smiled at Jessica and it made him smile too. They will make a perfect team! "Teddy!" the taller girl has called for him so he took a few steps away from the kitchen counters towards her. "Can you get me anything sharp?" she asked. He thought for a moment and nodded. That was a rather simple task, he knew exactly what they needed! So just in a matter of seconds, Theodore has retrieved... the relic! His mother's favorite kitchen knife! The sharpest thing you could ever find here! As he walked back to the group Theodore was finally informed on why Kim asked him to look for such an object in the first place. They needed to... cut... Jessica's... BEAUTIFUL hair?! The man insistently reached to touch his bald scalp and the scar on the back of his neck. Oh, no. His eyes nervously darted left and right. No, no, no! They shouldn't do that! Jessica didn't do anything wrong! She shouldn't be punished! The man couldn't help himself as the ringing inside his ears and the panic within his chest rose with each second until he heard his dear friend speak. "That's okay," Jessica replied to the question as if she didn't mind the sudden change, making Teddy's eyebrows rise dramatically. "So three of us can be hair cut buddies now," and that was it. As he heard Jessica state this simple but sweet sentiment Teddy couldn't help but blush, his lips curling up in a small smile. He didn't want to make her ugly as mom did to him... But Jessica will never be ugly. She was beautiful inside and out. As the rining and the panic was gone Teddy finally could reply and contribute to the dialogue with a confident, "Teddy!" He nodded back to Kim approving of the idea. Even though he completely missed the part about him not leaving along with Jessica - he was all on board with getting "matching haircuts". "Okay. Let's do this," Kim took Jessica's hair in her palm forming a low ponytail and nodded Teddy to come closer. "Ready? Here," she pointed at a spot above the place she held the hair tight and passed it to Teddy. The man nodded and put the knife against the hair ready to pull. One, two, three and- SLASH!
A flash of red! And there it was. A beautiful ponytail of long ginger hair was cut away, leaving the girl with a cute bob haircut. Kim left out a sigh of relief seeing that Jessica didn't get hurt in the process. The cut was a bit uneven but sadly Theodore didn't have a second chance to fix it. However, the bob suited Jessica nevertheless, even if it looked a bit jarring. "Teddy?" the man passed the ponytail to Kim as she tied it up with a piece of rope she found in the plastic bag. "Alright," she mumbled to herself lost in thought. Teddy however still had no clue yet what the gingers wanted to do with the hair but it seemed important enough to- "Teddy, you will stay with me," the tall one commanded and Teddy's eyes grew wide. No! He is NOT going to leave Jessica alone. He shook his head negatively. "Teddy!" he growled and took a step back. No! He is leaving! With Jessica! "Teddy, listen!" the girl pleaded, "Your mother won't be happy to see you gone! You have to stay!" Mother... yes, mom. Mom- Mom wouldn't like that... and what if she found them!? She would shave Jessica's hair and hurt her! Or... worse. "I promise me, you and Jess are going to meet very soon again!" Kim reassured the big man taking him by the hand, "I promise!" But he wanted to go on the little adventure with Jessica... Alas, Teddy had to accept his defeat.
He nodded in agreement and followed the tall ginger's lead as she pulled both him and Jessica towards the freezer. The fridge smelled rancid. The fact that Madge turned off the electricity at night made some of the ice melt. Yes, some bodies were luckier than others but some were already infested with maggots and fly eggs despite being kept in the cold. "Teddy," he muttered suppressing the gag reflex as he stormed towards the door to the outside. He needed some air. NOW! With all his might he pushed the door open and let the cool air beat against his skin. "Teddy!" with a refreshing sigh he walked outside, the girls following suit. Even if he couldn't leave for good - it didn't matter, he could at least take a little breather, right? Besides this was the last moment he might see Jess in a long long time. And, of course, he wouldn't want them to be fouled by the stench from the bags because this night... was special. The man looked down at both of the gals and with a big sad smile tugged them both into a warm hug. He will never foget them both. Never. From now on they were friends! Best of friends! For forever and ever!

Jessica smiled when Kim promised her that it would not be the last thing she asked. Jess wanted to do so many pleasant things for her in the future, and Kim did not even need to ask! Jessica was ready to counter the mountains and even to learn how to cook her favorite kind of pie! Just to see her smile, that's all.
It would not be surprising to say that Jess was not afraid that Kim could accidentally hurt her with a sharp object. That was her best friend, she would never cause her any harm, so Jess trusted Kim her life completely. Maybe someone like Etherek believed that Kim was suspicious and could betray them... nonsense! He was just biased.
Still, the girl was a little impatient during this delicate procedure and desperately tried not to move. When Teddy took her hair and Kim asked if she was ready, the girl confirmed.
"I was born ready."
As Jessica expected, everything worked as planned. One simple slash and her long red hair were cut. Jessica touched its tips by her hand, measuring how short it was now. The girl sighed with relief.
"I was afraid that you would make it too short," she confessed, looking at her reflection in one of the hanging pans, basically repeating the scene from Beauty and the Beast. It was a little uneven, but she did not care - it made her even bolder. "It may be a bit shallow, but I still prefer Mulan's haircut to Rapunzel's" the girl awkwardly explained. She adored Rapunzel as a character, but she still wished that Flynn cut it not so short. Welp, if Jess had such thoughts, it meant that she almost calmed down and was ready to return to the real, safe world.
"Teddy," the girl sighed and softly touched his hand. She wished he could go with her and she would not be alone on this long journey to the town. "Kim is right. I wish you could join me, but it's too dangerous and I'm almost sure that I can do it on my own," she squeezed his hand, showing support. "I know you want to leave this awful place, and you will, I promise. I will bring some help. " As Kim, she also made a promise. "We will meet again soon and draw together."
When Jess step into the freezer she closed her nose and tried not to breeze. The smell was disgusting, and Jess did not want to think from where it came. She forced herself not to look because she did not want to lose the spirit. Jess should be brave to deal with it. However, she rushed to the open door as a child who got scares in a panic room. No matter if there were bodies or bags filled with bodies she just did not want to know. Not here and not now. If there were her friends, she would moan them later. Jess did not want to ruin their escape plan just because she was scared of death.
"I missed it so much..." she whispered when a cold, refreshing wind blew her in the face. Usually, Jess was okay to stay home and play video games for example but not for months and not dying from fear and boredom.
"All we see is sky for forever..." Jess whispered and suddenly began to sing, softly and quietly. There was the sky, night sky with some blank twinkling stars that appeared for Jessica to be the most beautiful in the world. "We let the world pass by for forever..." Jess took Kim's hand. If there was someone else she would be scared to act this way but Kim was the only one with whom Jess could be truly herself. Childish and silly, talkative and creative, witty, and fancy. "Feels like we could go on for forever this way..." Teddy hugged two girls, Jessica gasped but still managed to finish "Three friends on a perfect day..."
When the hug was over, Jessica remembered something.
"Teddy, before I go..." the girl checked her pockets and took the photo of father and son. "Do you know who these people can be?" she asked, showing him the photo and then turned to Kim. "Gregory gave it to me... He acted as if was some important clue and... it can be my last chance to ask," her voice trembled. The girl was not sure that they will meet again. She may get lost in the woods. Kim may be betrayed and killed, the same as Teddy. Jessica wanted to be optimistic but she still was afraid to lose these two people. Even though she did not know Teddy for long, she felt that it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. And what concerns Kim... It was the beginning of beautiful love.

The woman couldn't help but smile her biggest, toothy smile she could at all of Jessica's sometimes silly, yet so kind and genuine remarks. Even at the darkest of times, she has always found the right words to say. Even though it was a bit ridiculous how two young, inexperienced girls in their early twenties somehow have managed to make it this far! It's been one heck of a ride. Kim looked back at Jessica as she took her right hand into hers. She knew there's nothing she couldn't do, not with Jess by her side. "For forever," Kim sheepishly mouthed the lyrics back when the big man has decided to join the group and scoop them from the ground into a big hug. The ginger couldn't help but let out a soft giggle. This moment they shared felt almost surreal. It's been so long since the last time she laughed. Since she heard Jessica sing... almost an eternity. Yet here they were on a verge of a new chapter in their lives. "Teddy, before I go..." Jessica addressed the giant when he's decided to finally release them both from the embrace. With a curious expression, the man took the small item into his palm. "Gregory gave it to me..." if Kim's ears could perk up - they would the moment she heard a familiar name. She didn't hear anything about dad in forever so it's good to know he is doing well and even crossed paths with Jessica. She was hoping they are going to meet soon too... "It can be my last chance to ask," Jessica perhaps was hoping for a proper reply; alas Teddy didn't say anything. The moment he took the picture he froze as if he got stung by a bee. Kim even got a chance to take a peek herself before Theodore silently nodded and put it in his pocket, retreating back into the building. Strange but not uncommon... who knew what really was going on inside the head of this big giant. "We should probably hurry," Kim looked at the entrance to the building and back at Jessica. Hopefully, the picture didn't trigger some tender memories in this soft giant's head and he didn't run to talk to his mother or something. Kim needed to get back to her room and slip back into the chains first... "Jess, I-" with a small smile Kim leaned forward and kissed Jessica on the lips, lingering the kiss before pulling away. "I love you," For the last time she breathed in the smell of her hair and looked down into her deep emerald eyes. She hated to watch her leave but she had to. This was their only chance for survival. "Now go," she nodded affirmatively handing Jessica the handbag with the provisions and followed her with her eyes until her fragile frame has disappeared in the darkness of the night. "I'll be waiting for you."
