The detective’s eyes looked down at the little black book on the wooden table. It had the letters out in order but that wasn’t the way she wanted to practice. She tore the piece with the letters written, placing it to the side as she took her handy pen. Writing all the vowels on one side.
From her memory, or grasping of the english language.. Most, if not every word had one. When it came to remembering letters, vowels were essential.. So, she wrote on the top of the blank page.
A… E… I… O… U
Vowels:
A – [.-]
E – [.]
I – [..]
O – [---]
U – [..-]
To be frank, they were the simplest to remember, plus how the U was similar to the A, as the I was to the E. It was the idea of letters having similar shapes to how they looked and or sounded. She pressed the tip of the pen against her lip and looked down. “The dots are single knocks and the dashes are times two of the dots so..”
Pressing her knuckle against the table, her fingers on her left hand resting on the page to keep it from being covered from the untamable page before it. Before knocking on the table.
—DUH—
A dot. “Such as in E…” But she needed more then just that, since it was simple formula of “Dashes being double of dots..” Her knuckles rested again, this time… Knocking faster against the flat wood.
—DŪDŪ—
Two times a dot; a dash. Like O. Her surrounding eventually stopped becoming any bother to her, they were all just doing their regular routine. Well, she was sure Cece and Isabelle were, she on the other hand… Had a different day-plan altogether, but why not. They were basically in quarantine so why not learn a skill while they’re at it.
—DUH— [.]
—One second break—
—DUH— [.]
“One second… Duh… duh..” And with that, she had finally made the letter— making sure to not look at the paper, “E or…. I, right. Two times is I.” Remember, E is just one dot. Her hands knocked on the wood again, this time it was—
—DŪDŪ— [-]
Two times a dot, so for O. She had to knock three times with two quick knocks for one dash.
—DŪDŪ— [-]
—DŪDŪ— [-]
—DŪDŪ— [-]
No breaks this time, and I now have an O.. Let’s just say, she was meticulous. Really meticulous. Now for the rest.. That have one of both at least. Such as A.. Which was, “One dot and one dash.” Total was three knocks.
—DUH— One second —DŪDŪ— [.-]
“U is A with two dots..”
—DŪDŪ— [-]
“Wait… Two dots at..” She took a quick peak and looked back at the desk, “At the beginning.” So, she placed her knuckles down, looked away for ten seconds with her eyes shut.
—DUH— One second —DUH— One second —DŪDŪ— [..-]
Perfect.
“Okay, U.” Then, repeat.
—DUH— One second —DŪDŪ— [.-]; A
—DUH— [.]; E
—DUH— One second —DUH— [..]; I
—DŪDŪ— —DŪDŪ— —DŪDŪ— [---]; O
—DUH— One second —DUH— One second —DŪDŪ— [..-]; U
And repeat. Letting out a sigh as she went to get a tray of food, delicious. Too bad they were in hell. As she put the books to the corner, eating the spring rolls. As well as sipping the tea, mhm.. As she was eating her food.
Now, for the rest of the letters.

Now, for the rest of the letters.
Vowels: Rest of the letters:
A – [.-] B – [-…] H – [….] N – [-.] T – [-] Z – [--..]
E – [.] C – [-.-.] J – [.---] P – [.--.] V – […-]
I – [..] D – [-..] K – [-.-] Q – [--.-] W – [.--]
O – [---] F – [..-.] L – [.-..] R – [.-.] X – [-..-]
U – [..-] G – [--.] M – [--] S – […] Y – [-.--]
She wrote those and started knocking those in order. Column by column.
