Little tip, woman to woman - don't piss off the diabolical ones.

FUCK.FUCK.FUCK. A tear ran down CeCe's cheek. She was still sitting in the locked bathroom. She needed that moment, this situation was out of her control. Nothing like this had ever happened to her before.
Out of frustration she bumped her head against the wall. "Fuck!"
CeCe tried to focus and wanted to try sneaking out of the house. After all, she did that a couple of times, even though she wasn't knocked out or kidnapped in those situations.

Drake was leaning against the wall close to the door which won't open. Dammit... What the heck was this place? It was just crazy prepared, it must've take forever to build all of this - and who knew what else there was besides gas pipes and obviously about 13 to 14 rooms if there were 3 people in each of them.
Suddenly, a 'fuck' ripped him out of his thoughts. He quickly turned to the wall behind him. Were the walls this thin that he could hear people on the other side? He had honesty expected them to be very thick, maybe even soundproof. But this was nice, a good opportunity to get information. "..Hello?", he asks loudly against the wall. "Who's there?" It had been a female voice, but that was all he could catch.

"..Hello?", the voice of a man came from behind her. It was the perfect jump scare in a situation like this. CeCe stared at the wall in disbelief. "Who's there?" In case she didn't hear very well the first time, here was the proof. Definitely not her roommate, but a guy from the other side of the wall. After the basement situation CeCe knew there were quite a number of people in here, but she was blown away by the fact that apparently all of them were locked in rooms. Could it be? CeCe pressed her hand against the plain white wall and swiped her hand across it. Maybe the kidnapper wasn't that prepared? If this house was in such a bad condition that they could hear each other talk. "I...", CeCe didn't know what to say. She didn't want to tell this guy her name. "I won't-", CeCe stopped herself. What if the man got out before her? Or if she wouldn't get out at all? CeCe needed to find out if she could trust this man and maybe others as well. If they got out before her, they could tell her father. "I am CeCe...", CeCe said annoyed by the fact that some strange guy knew her name now. "Who are you? Were you in the basement?". CeCe stared against the bathroom door and got chills. A shiver ran down her spine. What if he was the one capturing her?

She seemed to be stunned by the fact that someone was behind the wall, he could hear her stuttering in the beginning. And honestly who could blame her? It was a surprise for himself too.
"I am CeCe...Who are you? Were you in the basement?" "Cece-?!", he repeated, now actually recognizing her muffled voice. "It's me, Drake. We saw each other in the basement before the lights turned off. I wanted to talk to you but didn't get the chance - great that we have the opportunity now. Where have you been kidnapped from? Do you know anything about the kidnapper?" For a second, he debated on if he should tell her what info he already had, or guessed, but decided that it would be better to work together with her.
"This person must be a professional... Did you see where the smoke came from? It emerged from pipes. I assume they prepared the whole house, it must've taken at least months and workers who knew what they were doing... Have you looked out the window? It looks like we're in a half-rotten villa or palace. Do you know of a place like that near our city? I tried to remember, but I didn't come to a conclusion..."

"It's me, Drake. We saw each other in the basement before the lights turned off." "Oh my god, Drake!", CeCe said relieved by the fact that it wasn't the kidnapper on the other side. "I wanted to talk to you but didn't get the chance - great that we have the opportunity now. Where have you been kidnapped from? Do you know anything about the kidnapper?" CeCe had to think about it. Should she just talk to him? She didn't know much, but still, it could maybe help if he had more information.
Drake trusted her with what he knew and caught in the basement. It wasn't much, but more than CeCe knew. CeCe let all the new information sink it. The thin walls maybe were just part of the game and the kidnapper was laughing somewhere about all of them trying to talk to each other. "Drake, I...", CeCe gave herself a push and just talked to him, "I was going to this charity event Uptown. I ... left the cab and that's it.. The event was supposed to be in the museum of natural science, so I was around the corner there..What about you? Any similarities?" What else? Think CeCe...think... "I also looked outside..Nothing..I have no clue at all. Are we even still around Maidefield? I.. need to get home as quick as possible."
CeCe watched the sink and for a moment, she was hypnotized by the water drops. "The blonde woman.", she said out of nowhere. "The cop, Drake! From the party where we met. She's here. Why would a cop be here? Maybe that rich man thought she actually was one of..us..? And he caught his enemies? He is rich enough after all."

"Drake, I... I was going to this charity event Uptown. I ... left the cab and that's it.. The event was supposed to be in the museum of natural science, so I was around the corner there..What about you? Any similarities?" Uptown.... "Hmm...no.. I was caught in an alley quite some blocks away... But Eliott mentioned he had been in the city centre too. So maybe the is something there...", he said slowly.
"I also looked outside..Nothing..I have no clue at all. Are we even still around Maidefield? I.. need to get home as quick as possible."
That made him press his lips together tightly. Me too... me too.... It painfully reminded him that his little sister was at home all alone... and when he wouldn't come to work, his boss would send someone to her... He squinted his eyes in fear. Please, just be alright... If someone hurts her I'll kill them all I swear to god- What if someone takes her and she doesn't have access to her medicine? She could die...! He pressed his hands together into fists and slammed one on the ground. Then he closed his eyes and tried to breath, in and out. Panicking was not gonna help her or himself. Focus. Just focus on getting out as soon as possible. "I don't know.. it's possible. I don't know how long we were unconscious on the way to this mansion here.. I suppose a few hours, not days, considering my hunger and thirst... I don't even know how long we've been unconscious when we got brought to these rooms - that reminds me. What does your room look like?"
"The blonde woman. The cop, Drake! From the party where we met. She's here. Why would a cop be here? Maybe that rich man thought she actually was one of..us..? And he caught his enemies? He is rich enough after all." "Shhhh!", he quickly said and looked to the bathroom door. "Not too loud, Cece.. My roommates are Eliott, a guy from out of town - I know him - and Victor Pierce.. Consultant Detective." He put a special accentuation on 'detective'. She would understand. "I'm in the bathroom right now, so I don't think they can hear me, but just in case.. keep it down.", he warned her.
"About that detective.. Carmen Edinburgh? She's really here? That's weird indeed...", he said and then fell quiet for a bit, thinking. "I can't completely rule out the possibility that the man indeed has something to do with it... I mean, some of the people in the basement looked like rich guys. Maybe his competitors?", he speculated. "It's true that he's definitely got the riches to build something like this, even in a short time... If he did, he probably set up guards everywhere... I didn't hear anyone behind the other door, but... maybe they just ignored me and were really quiet..." He's usually way less talkative, but in this situation, there was really no other option left than to say his thougts out loud. At least to someone like Cece.

It was crazy how quickly you could find an ally if the options are limited and you don't trust most of the rest. The girl, her neighbor? Sure, she wouldn't be a threat, but not probably not a lot of help either. Drake was her best option to work with, so they could get out as quickly as possible.
"Hmm...no.. I was caught in an alley quite some blocks away... But Eliott mentioned he had been in the city centre too. So maybe the is something there..." Well, that was a hit and miss. "I guess it's not gonna be easy to find clues... Given we are locked in these shabby rooms." CeCe sighed. How were they supposed to get out ? She had to find more clues. Drake had to find more clues. As well as something to simply break out.
CeCe stopped her thoughts to carefully listen to Drake. They shouldn't miss a single thing. "I don't know.. it's possible. I don't know how long we were unconscious on the way to this mansion here.. I suppose a few hours, not days, considering my hunger and thirst... I don't even know how long we've been unconscious when we got brought to these rooms - that reminds me. What does your room look like?"
More and more speculations, however, he was right regarding the hunger and thirst. "That's true... Do you think we can trust the water in here? I am really hesitant. You never know if they put something in there. Did someone from your room try it already?", CeCe asked him and went on, "Oh my room is beautiful". She laughed sarcastically and sighed. "A horrible bed, furniture, bathroom. And very horror movie like: A dead rose on the bed. I need to look for more clues though." CeCe looked around the bathroom and tried to find something.. "What about your room?", she asked distracted.
"A detective...", CeCe replied quietly. Two detectives, two criminals. "It would make sense, Drake. Who are the enemies of rich criminals? Detectives and other..criminals. Oh, Carmen Edinburgh is her name? Good to know. I mean.. who else but that guy? Someone who really just is sick and wants to play games? No, I don't think so. Drake..." CeCe stopped. It was to hard for her to ask. CeCe...it's for your dad... She took a deep breath and firmly and quietly asked him. "If you get out and I don't... I have an apartment downtown. Across the supermarket we bumped into each other. Pierre C. is written on the doorbell sign. Please.. I know we are no friends.. But you and I.. We understand each other, at least the life style. There is someone who needs help. You find everything in the red bag under the couch."
That was hard. Tears ran down CeCe's cheek. Good that Drake couldn't see her. But she never experienced a situation likes this. Usually she would "just" get tied to a chair if she got caught - that was no problem at all. But this sick prison mansion? Her father was more important than her pride. And she couldn't wait for that perfect neighbor girl to show up to ask her.
[CeCe did a perception check and looked if something was left or written in the shower.]

PERCEPTION CHECK: CeCe did a perception check and looked if something was left or written in the shower.
RESULT: 2 - Unfortunately Cece didn't find anything useful.

"That's true... Do you think we can trust the water in here? I am really hesitant. You never know if they put something in there. Did someone from your room try it already?" Drake actually hadn't thought about this. "Well... I drank some of it and, well, I'm still alive. Besides, they bring us food too so I assume they want to keep us alive... For whatever reason." Drake didn't see why they would make the effort to poison the water. "They probably use the same water too....", he thought out loud.
"Oh my room is beautiful. A horrible bed, furniture, bathroom. And very horror movie like: A dead rose on the bed. I need to look for more clues though. What about your room?" He nodded slightly, taking in the information. "Hmmh.. Wait, a dead rose? That's weird... Well, pretty much the same I guess? Pretty run-down, one single bed... not much furniture. I tried the door, no use. And I have nothing to pick the lock with... Didn't find anything useful either. Oh, also. There are cameras. I don't know if you saw them, but they're in the room. I didn't see any in the bathroom though..." He looked around the small room again, like if to check if he missed anything. He had looked around planty of times already though. The chances that he missed something were pretty low.
"A detective...It would make sense, Drake. Who are the enemies of rich criminals? Detectives and other..criminals. I mean.. who else but that guy? Someone who really just is sick and wants to play games? No, I don't think so. Drake..." "You're right... it does make sense..." He scratched his chin again. "We need more information though... Did your roommate say anything? Mine weren't exactly helpful..." Inwardly, he apologized to Eliott for saying this, but it was the truth. They didn't really give him valuable information... at least nothing that seemed to be valuable for now. He nodded to himself. I should still keep everything in mind...
"If you get out and I don't... I have an apartment downtown. Across the supermarket we bumped into each other. Pierre C. is written on the doorbell sign. Please.. I know we are no friends.. But you and I.. We understand each other, at least the life style. There is someone who needs help. You find everything in the red bag under the couch." He stayed quiet for a long time. "I promise." Another long pause. "Actually... I want to ask the same thing from you.. Silverstreet 195. Apartment 3... There's...", he hesitated there for a moment, but pulled himself together and continued. "You should find a teen girl with black hair and green eyes... she .. she needs her medicine. If she's on the ground.. You need to use the syringe in the first drawer in the nightstand. There's also one in the livingroom on the table. It contains adrenaline. She needs to be brought to the hospital immediately...", he explains. "I promise, if I really get out and you don't - I'll do what you just told me." Right after he would check on his own sister...

"Well... I drank some of it and, well, I'm still alive. Besides, they bring us food too so I assume they want to keep us alive... For whatever reason." That made sense. Why lock them in rooms after the basement "party"? The kidnapper could've killed them already and there were ways way worse than torture one with poisoned water. "Yeah...", CeCe said and already thought about the feeling of drinking a (hopefully) nice glass of water.
"[...]Well, pretty much the same I guess? [...] I tried the door, no use. And I have nothing to pick the lock with... Didn't find anything useful either. Oh, also. There are cameras. I don't know if you saw them, but they're in the room. I didn't see any in the bathroom though..." "Omg", CeCe said in shock, "I've missed the cameras. This is so messed up. Everything. Screw this place." CeCe wanted to punch someone or something or even break something. But that probably wouldn't be smart. She certainly didn't want to anger the sick psychopath owning this place. "Once I find something. You'll be the first one to know. And I'll check on my roommate soon. I think I heard her."
"I promise." CeCe's heart fell into her stomach. That's what she needed to hear so badly. To her surprise however, Drake went on with much more. "Actually... I want to ask the same thing from you.. Silverstreet 195. Apartment 3... There's...You should find a teen girl with black hair and green eyes... she .. she needs her medicine. If she's on the ground.. You need to use the syringe in the first drawer in the nightstand. There's also one in the livingroom on the table. It contains adrenaline. She needs to be brought to the hospital immediately...I promise, if I really get out and you don't - I'll do what you just told me." A teen girl girl with black hair and green eyes? It was probably be his sister, but CeCe wouldn't ask him if that was the case. She understood the importance of not asking to many questions, especially in a situation likes this. They already showed way too much vulnerability. Questions would only make both of them feel weaker. She would find out, eventually. So she simply replied, "I promise, Drake.".
Silverstreet 195, Apartment 3...Silverstreet 195, Apartment 3...Silverstreet 195, Apartment 3..Medicene - first drawer.
"So...", CeCe said over the top excited, "At least we got to know each other. Kind of." It was time to change the topic.

"Omg I've missed the cameras. This is so messed up. Everything. Screw this place." He sighed deeply and nodded to himself. "Yeahh...." All of this was extremely messed up. "I mean, at least I didn't see cameras in the bathroom? So I guess it's not something pervy..." But you can never be sure... Maybe he missed something.
"Once I find something. You'll be the first one to know. And I'll check on my roommate soon. I think I heard her." "I appreciate that... You'll be the first to know when I find out more, too."
"I promise, Drake." Even though she can't see it, he nodded quietly, very thankful for this. And.. honestly relieved? He was still very worried about her. What if none of them made it out? Or what IF they did but...it was too late? That thought terrified him more than dying.
"So...At least we got to know each other. Kind of." That actually made him chuckle. "You're right. I mean.. It's not like we have anything else to do right?", he asks with humor in his voice. "So, if you can think of anything you'd like to share with me about yourself.. go ahead."

"So, if you can think of anything you'd like to share with me about yourself.. go ahead." This actually made CeCe smile and chuckle for a moment. Being so stressed out by this living hell they were in, something like that really did lighten the mood. "Street rat, don't think I'll share my life with you", she said laughingly and went on calmly, "I am.. Was.. A gymnast. It's quite useful for my.. Job. Also if this psy-.. Person makes some sort of parcour to get out - I should be fine. And.. I like money. Not the system of it. But..". Cece stopped and got lost in her thoughts for a second. She grabbed her arm and by tightening the grab she tried to avoid thinking about her situation at home. She turned sidewayst to the wall, made herself smile and got back to reality,"But I like the feeling of being able to buy important stuff.. Sometimes pretty things, too, I must admit. What about you? "

"Street rat, don't think I'll share my life with you"He chuckled about this. "Too bad, catwoman", he teased her back. "I am.. Was.. A gymnast. It's quite useful for my.. Job. Also if this psy-.. He nodded to himself. "Parcour? ...Hmm.. you think they want to test us? Like, whoever gets out first, wins?", he presumed. "But I like the feeling of being able to buy important stuff.. Sometimes pretty things, too, I must admit. What about you?"
"I understand that.. I mean, which girl doesn't like pretty things?", he said and thought about his sister. He'd love to buy pretty things for her too, but the bills already took up everything he was earning... They couldn't spare anything for some jewelry or other unnecessary stuff. "...Me? Hm. Well... I guess I'm more of the practical sort? I don't really buy anything pretty, everything has to serve a specific purpose, otherwise it's just useless and only a waste of money." He paused for a second. "But, sure, it would be nice to be able to buy anything you want... But this is only for a small percentage if the world's population.. And I don't belong there."

"Too bad, catwoman", he answered and made CeCe chuckle. "Fair enough! Good one...", CeCe admitted.
"Yeah, I can see that being a big advantage for you.", Drake said. CeCe smiled at the thought of having an advantage, even though it actually didn't help her at the moment. "Parcour? ...Hmm.. you think they want to test us? Like, whoever gets out first, wins?", he asked. "I wish.. But since we're locked in rooms..I don't know, I think the .. Kidnapper? Has different plans."
"I understand that.. I mean, which girl doesn't like pretty things?", he said and went on, "...Me? Hm. Well... I guess I'm more of the practical sort? "But, sure, it would be nice to be able to buy anything you want... But this is only for a small percentage if the world's population.. And I don't belong there."
CeCe certainly didn't want him to think that she was doing all that stuff to get chapstick and mascara. "You know.. I am definitely not part of that small percentage, either. But I was able to afford some things - thanks to exactly those people. I don't know.. I ... I just want to live in peace. And sadly enough, you need money for that."
It felt good to talk to someone about this. CeCe wished they had more time. "I'll come back, okay? My roommate woke up and I definitely want to see what I am dealing with. And finally drink something."

"I'll come back, okay? My roommate woke up and I definitely want to see what I am dealing with. And finally drink something." "Alright... I don't think I need to tell you that, but... be careful." With that, he stood up. He knocked against the wall as a kind of goodbye and then went back to his roommates.
